Congratulations everyone who had their applications approved! I’m so excited for you! Has anyone here sent their applications back in March and never had any status update on file? Only case received? The wait is kinda upsetting me already 🙁

I got the actively reviewed update 2 days after they received it but nothing for 5 months after that. I don't think the status should worry you too much. Seems like most petitions stay at  "received" the whole time and then change to active a few days before approval.

Vermont Service Center

PD 03/17/21

Actively reviewing 08/13/21

Interesting! Both of our applications are being processed at Vermont, We have the same pd and my status was changed to actively reviewed on 8/13.

im new here!

PD: 3/16/21

actively reviewing 8/13/21

praying for an approval soon. I had a baby 5 weeks ago!

also this isn’t my first time filing! I had filed for my ex husband back in 2015. I remember it took 7 months for that to go get approved. We never made it to NVC because that was Around the time we started having issues and then got divorced.

is this anyone’s second time filing for a different person? I was so worried before but after speaking to a lawyer as long as I submit a divorce certificate they told me there’s nothing to worry about. People get married and divorced all the time!

This is my 2nd time for wife. I’m also divorce from my first wife and our process was Approved until we were documents qualified but we start having issue then and didn’t work out so I refilled in 2021 may 2nd for my new wife. As long your divorce papers are good then we should be fine. Also I still not had activity review on my yet 😔. Still waiting for an update. So your not alone.

I agree that it should be fine, especially because you never finished the original process. This lawyer has a great YouTube channel and addresses your question about a second spouse in this video here: Sponsoring a Second Spouse

Wow we must have been with the same agent!  Amazing!  Congratulations on your baby! :) I think it's only an issue if there is a significant age difference between the spouses, which doesn't seem to be the case!  I agree that it's all about providing the divorce certificate and thereby demonstrating that you had the right to marry again.  Stuff happens and they know that.  If you want to make a timeline, it would be great.  I think there is a guide for that if you click on Guides at the top.  If you need help, just ask!  Hope you get approved soon!

Unfortunately I haven’t seen many approvals lately for Texas Service Center, seems like they have become slowest now. Anyone have any good news?
