Hey everyone. Just thought I'd add my no-news to everyone else's no-news LOL!!

But I noticed something which seems a little odd with the site here. When I checked our timeline today, the part at the bottom which shows the estimated processing time says the following:

Quote

There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-130 will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals.

Huh? I just checked it yesterday (maybe the day before, but very recently) and it said between Nov 2021 - Jan 2022. I noticed it changes once in a while, sometimes pretty wildly, which is to be expected. But usually it's somewhere between Sep. 2021 (the earliest I've seen) and Jan. 2022. This is the first time I've seen no estimate at all.

So I looked at another Canadian beneficiary in the thread here, @kkeys  *waves* Hi guys!! :P  to see if there's any comparison. And there is, time-wise. Our IR-1 PD is Mar 01/21, which happens to be just a couple days after theirs.  Yet, on their timeline, the estimated processing time says this:

Quote

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between October 5, 2021 and December 1, 2021*.

So the compilation of data is still working in at least this one (maybe) comparable (ish) case, it seems.

Would anyone happen to know why an estimate for processing time disappeared completely from my timeline all of a sudden like that?  Am I missing something?

Is it because of the difference in processing locations maybe? Ours is at Potomac, while the example above is Vermont.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!! :)

Hello!! 🇨🇦

It could be based on your service center. Mine is Vermont (transferred from Nebraska) and yours says Potomac. Maybe they don't have enough data on Potomac vases (or Potomac cases from Canada) to make an estimate.

That's what I was wondering. I guess I thought the data was compiled based on all cases but it does make sense to look at service centers individually if there's a lot of variance. I don't think it matters much that the data for Potomac is insufficient at the moment since movement is still so slow in most cases anyway.

Thanks for your response! :)

I do think movement in Vermont is slow too, so I try not to focus on those dates. At one point it was saying that it should be approved already, then it went to a week later, then to fall, then back to now and now back to late fall. It's so hard to just wait for news. Especially with Vermont's bad reputation... 😭

I have a update but not regarding our petition.

I had a accident at work and several hours later I was dragged into a urgent surgery. Slept for 3 days because painkillers and came back to work the 4th day just to find out I'm being put down for a disciplinary.

In couple of days I'll find out if I need a 2nd surgery (skin graft) or not.

Just remember,it can always be worse

CR1

3/1/2021 - PD (Nebraska on the status check site, Texas on NOA1), US citizen applying for husband

3/25/2021 - status update (actively being reviewed)

6/17/2021 - saw some other who applied after us get approved so we contacted USCIS via ask Emma. We were informed that our SC is California and it was never transferred, the agent pushed me to tier 2 support as my NOA1 says Texas, so an officer is supposed to call me within 14days, still waiting, but will update, fingers crossed it's not actually at CSC, since it can take up to nearly 3 years!!

anyone else is this situation? NOA1 says one thing, but USCIS says something else? Anyone have California? Aside from medical, are there any other ways to get an expedite?

Yes, unfortunately this is common. USCIS spews all kinds of misinformation. The center that sent the NOA1 isn't always the center processing it. So the agent that checked ask emma is probably correct as they were able to pull it where it was in that moment. Happened to me too and a bunch of others in here. I got a call back from the tier 2 as well and they just gave the same info, its at Potomac and will be processed when it can. However, I am pretty sure California is much faster than others even if the website doesn't say so. A girl on here just got hers approved in 4 months from California. :)

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁
