The birth certificate is officially translated with a stamp. The Marriage certificate has already multiple translations on the paperwork. I can understand if they want an official sealed translation of the marriage certificate but the birth certificate I am at a loss.

Grrrr..... I was so excited and now this. Any other thoughts appreciated.....

Check the document requirements for your specific country here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html

Sometimes they are particular about having the documents be what they expect as listed on that site.

Yeah, our marriage certificate had English/Spanish/Danish translations on the official document already, but we were told to still get a separate English-only translation.

NVC received the cases today.   Emails were sent from NVC to my wife, step-daughter and me.  NVC Case #'s and invoice ID numbers already assigned.   At this point the process is getting ahead of us since me and the wife are on vacation in Peru and although we were preparing for the NVC stage, this came up much faster than expected and caught us off guard.  Not that we are complaining.  I'm really hoping to start seeing some more approvals here soon.  I'd like to think the main thing that separates my cases from other March cases is that I filed earlier in March and the rest of the cases will start catching up in the next few weeks.

I think you just got super lucky. My PD is March 5. 😢

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁

You are correct. I got both documents translated again. I was also told the translations cannot be summary translations and need to be as detailed as possible resembling the original document. Apparently, USCIS, is much more stringent on exact translations and requires a translation authenticity certificate/statement that goes along with the translation.

I am resubmitting tomorrow.

Hi everyone! Thank you for creating this thread. We applied on March 31, 2021 and received NOA1 the same day stating Nebraska as the service centre. I just have a quick question to those whose I-130 got approved fast. Do you and your spouse have kids?? I’m just keeping my hopes up since me and my husband have a daughter and they have never seen each other since I gave birth last year due to Canada-US restrictions. We can’t leave the country as I’m really scared for my daughter’s safety and my husband can’t take over a week off since he’s working as a doctor and dealing with covid patients. The minimum stay here in Canada is 15 days due to 14 days quarantine. I wish everyone’s application will move further because it’s just too hard to be away from our spouses.

No kids here either. The more you research about the process the more you will realize how random it all (seemingly) is! Even knowing which service center your petition is at can be a mystery. You're right though that a lot of petitions recently have been moving faster (which really must be frustrating for those of us who filed in 2019/2020 who are still waiting).
