Honestly, I'm just tired of checking, very frustrating to still have an application to be held this far at 11months with no hope.. this situation will affect relationships. My fiancee and I keep looking at our case number everyday and at this stage, no response yet.

I'm mostly keeping a close eye on Japan's border policies because it seems like they'll probably open up before my visa moves past "Received", so if they do then I will likely fly over there so we can spend time together while we wait. Would also be ideal to help with packing/preparation and such.

I feel very privileged we were able to see each other several times during this process. We would both be going mad otherwise. All my solidarity with you. Hopefully you will be able to see each other soon.

LOL, I got an email, instead of a callback from Tier 2 as requested, which told me how to check the Estimated Processing Times on their website. Ridiculous. I'm guessing it was a glitch; in regards to it being a phishing scam, I don't believe so, as that's USCIS' official email that sent the message. Something weird is most certainly going on. When did you submit the Ombudsman request btw? I was under the impression we couldn't now that they gave that vague, blanket statement that they were working to address problems with certain forms.

It was not a glitch if they don’t want to speak on the phone they just send a generic email and mark you off the list as responded to. Just had the same thing happen to me. I submitted another request for a phone response because my inquiry just said about processing times too. Had nothing to do with my actual question.

Here's tonight's count, sorry it's a bit later than I usually do!

57000 - 1 Approval (-2 Approvals -- I may have forgot to filter by I-129F before)
57500 - 1 Approval (=0)
58000 - 0 (=0)
58500 - 0 (=0)
59000 - 1 RFE (=0)
59500 - 1 RFE (=0)
60000 - 3 Approvals, 2 Other (+2 Other)
60500 - 2 Approvals (=0)
61000 - 11 Approvals (=0)
61500 - 2 Approvals (=0)
62000 - 2 Approvals, 1 RFE (=0)
62500 - 5 Approvals, 3 RFEs (=0)

63000 - 3 Approvals, 7 RFEs (+1 RFE)

63500 - 3 Approvals (=0)

As expected earlier, there weren't really any changes since my last update (48 vs 44). Since I messed up the count on the 57000 range initially we are in pretty much the same place that we started.

I really hope next week goes better than this week did – always sucks to see a step backwards with the processing, especially when there's so many cases that are in the queue (either that they've skipped or that they have coming up). Processing ~200 cases a week means it would take 5 months to get through the March cases alone, which is definitely going to push them past their current 9-12 month estimate that they have.

I feel like they have to make changes to their COVID policies or something as that's not a sustainable pace without upsetting a large amount of people.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Reach out to your partners that are waiting and try to do something fun long distance -- watch something together, listen to music together, maybe walk around on video and talk about the area you live in. Keep kindling the relationship while the government tests it ❤️

Lolol long distance gets repetitive after a few months let alone 1 year! Please USCIS pick up the damn pace!

Thanks! Yeah, I called them earlier and they said they could put me back in the line for Tier 2, but it was marked as completed. Honestly telling me how to check the 'estimated processing times' was a massive slap in the face when the Tier 1 officer had literally taken a few minutes to write out what the problem was. Oh well. Let's pray we never have to deal with a third inquiry...

Hello, March 5, NOA1 here still waiting for NOA2.

I have a question about updating my fiancee's (beneficiary) address since she moved recently.

I'm not sure if I should update the beneficiary address now being so close to NOA2?

Or when is the best time to update the beneficiary address?

The worst case maybe when it comes to visa delivery to have her pick up at the US consulate?

But the beneficiary address should be updated at some point to keep the information current?

Thanks in advance for any response.

You don’t need to update the beneficiary’s address at this time; that can be done on the DS-160. Right now the only one that really matters is your address since you are the petitioner and notices will be mailed to you.

The health department there is discussing the reduced severity of omicron and what it means, and they mentioned announcing new border measures next week.

I don’t know whether or not they will open, but at the pace the USCIS has been moving I’m not sure I’ll be seeing my fiancé until July/August at the earliest, haha.

Mostly trying to find ways for my partner and I to get back together sooner.

Hey everyone!
I am a March 4 filer in the 59000s and I feel like we are being ignored for some reason. I have already sent an inquiry back in October and received a canned response. Is there anything else I can do? Is calling them helping at all? I am starting to get really worried.

My advice based on what I would do and what I feel worked for me. -

Honestly, since the processing timeframe estimate retrogressed to February, you will not be able to submit an online inquiry. I would strongly recommend that you call, tell them that you know the timeframe estimate retrogressed to February but that you also know that mid to late March cases are being approved and that you are in early March. They will typically offer to escalate your call to a T2 but if they don’t then I would ask to be escalated. It can take up to 30 days for them to contact you.

I would also say to reach out to your congressman/woman so that they can submit an inquiry on your behalf. I assume that you can do that now and explain what has been going on. Otherwise, you can hold off until the processing timeframes are back at your date. Best of luck!!

Yes, this is all good advice. Tier 1 will give you a service number for Tier 2 upon request. Only problem is that I was informed, Friday, that they may automatically cancel your Tier 2 callback if it's inside processing times. That's why I'd make clear to Tier 1 what the problem really is, so that Tier 2 isn't tempted to just see the ticket and send you an email telling you to check the website.

I'm unsure how often you may contact your Congressman, but the good news with them is that it seems like your specific problem is directly sent to the liaison. I asked on behalf of myself and also all of March filers, and their answer seemed pretty tailored to that. Of course, that response takes 1-2 months to get back, and if you're 59x, you're likely to get NOA2 by then anyway. But hey, these are all great tools at your disposal you're free to use!
