Haha , I agree .. It sounds like a lottery, but it is not ...our turn is coming.😆.  I blame COVID-19  for all this, because I remember when  I petitioned my mother in 2008, it took about 5 months the most for my mother to be in the U.S.,  to include my deployments, and delays responding to inquiries from immigration services.

14 Years later the COVID-19 and the  New World Order changed  and made things difficult: the conclusion I'm drawing from this nowadays process, is that if you are a U.S. Citizen and want to marry a foreign,  your date to marry depends not on you the partners,  or the family but on the will of the government.   Me and my fiancee refrained from talking about the date  for marriage since November when I have realized the my case wasn't processed as estimated.  Taking more than a  year to process visa application mostly the visa that permit partners to marry sounds Painful and Stressful.  I always say May God help all parties involved.

Good night and good luck today troops! Let’s hope to finish strong. 176 cases touched so far this week is less than I wanted, as we need around 50 to pass our record for last week. But hopefully a lot were opened this afternoon and we’ll see them inputted straight away. Keep it up!

That's indeed strange; I've heard of people getting updates on CaseTracker but not having anything in their portal, but I'm surprised you actually got an email from USCIS. What time was it in California when you got it?

Wow! I just received a similar email a few minutes ago from my Ombudsman inquiry. So I went into my online account and case tracker and both still reflect "received". What is going on at USCIS this is so confusing .

I gotta say the sentence "We have taken an action on your case" doesn't sound proper. Adding the word "an" in the middle of the sentence makes it sound like broken english.

I am going to take a wild guess and say this might be a phishing scam trying to get you to click on their link and have you type in your information. It could be 100% legit, but I would have serious doubts.

I’ve actually seen spousal visa applicants post this email before on Facebook several times. Same thing, no actual update in the USCIS site. But several did report getting some sort of correspondence days or weeks after. Maybe some internal glitch or poor coding when they look at a case. They are also always doing updates, so there is always a chance it’s some issue with a systemic update or something like a power outage while they are reviewing cases.

LOL, I got an email, instead of a callback from Tier 2 as requested, which told me how to check the Estimated Processing Times on their website. Ridiculous. I'm guessing it was a glitch; in regards to it being a phishing scam, I don't believe so, as that's USCIS' official email that sent the message. Something weird is most certainly going on. When did you submit the Ombudsman request btw? I was under the impression we couldn't now that they gave that vague, blanket statement that they were working to address problems with certain forms.

I submitted the request back on Jan 27th.

My guess is that, because you’re an early March filer, your petition was recently assigned and Ombudsman got notified of that. But who honestly knows? Lots of problems going on.

Here's the lunch break update for today (a little later than usual, had some errands to run)~

62500 - 5 Approvals, 3 RFEs

63000 - 3 Approvals, 6 RFEs

63500 - 3 Approvals

So, today we're at 46 changes so far, and I don't anticipate seeing it go up much by 4PM (given that I am running this late). I wonder what happened to the pile of people with a March 4th NOA1 (where I am). I have those cases being watched by the app and there's never any movement on that range (1 case had some movement on January 28th that was a "Notice Explaining USCIS Actions Was Mailed").

Really wish I knew what was going on in there. I have to admit, it hurts to see a very large amount of the updates happening in the 62000+ range this week since there's still so many of us at the beginning of March with zero updates. Glad for those in mid-March though, seems like that group is now processing quite smoothly!

Thank you so much for the info and yes it does look like its turning out to be a very slow Friday for us.

Honestly, I'm just tired of checking, very frustrating to still have an application to be held this far at 11months with no hope.. this situation will affect relationships. My fiancee and I keep looking at our case number everyday and at this stage, no response yet.
