I hope mine isn't one of the more difficult cases, haha. I went over the packet I sent them about 100 times, checked every page, and I have a pristine history (to my knowledge, no issues with the government or law enforcement, nor no previous relationships). I just keep telling myself that mine is in a stack that either has a lot above it, or maybe some difficult ones above it.

I'm in a similar situation. Only issue I feel may delay it is the fact I have lived in multiple countries and have multiple citizenships, so if they indeed run background checks and rely on service provides or governments, that may delay a little bit.

Lunch break update :) You'll notice I am including a little bit more than usual as it seems like they are pushing further into mid-March now!

57000 - 1 Approval
57500 - 2 Approvals
58000 - 0
58500 - 0
59000 - 6 Approvals
59500 - Other
60000 - 6 Approvals, 2 RFEs
60500 - 0
61000 - 1 Approval, Other
61500 - 0
62000 - 4 Approvals, 1 RFE
62500 - 7 Approvals, 1 RFE

63000 - 7 Approvals, 1 RFE

63500 - 5 Approvals

All in all today we have 46 changes today so far, with the majority of those being approvals! Interesting to see the focus laying between 59000-60000 and 62000-63500, but it does paint the picture that they are moving ahead into March.

The suspense from silence and the anticipation building from seeing others getting approved has me sitting on pins and needles !!!!!!!  plus the great news on finally breaking that 625xx wall 😄

All in all a pretty disappointing end to an otherwise great day. We had the largest start that I've seen for a day and then nothing. My guess is that this would also mean a large start for tomorrow as well (inputting the things done this afternoon). All in all we saw 2 more actions (both "RFE received" things), resulting in a total of 48 updates today.

Thanks for the update! Yes, that's probably what'll happen; tomorrow morning they'll be an influx of them entering the cases started this afternoon, and then we'll either get lucky with another batch or nothing at all. Pushing 50 isn't terrible. Don't know if by end of day tomorrow we'll have more cases completed than last week (all things considered, it's been kinda a 'light' past few days), but we'll see. If you're a mid-March filer, you have a lot to celebrate; there's hope from these numbers that they could pull 640x and 645x starting next week. We'll see. It's also good to see that the earlier categories are still getting attention as time passes.

It is unfortunate, but unless California rescinds their COVID restrictions, these could be the new speeds for processing I-129F. If we include the 30-40 cases that continuously get done from the other groups, that's only 60-90 cases processed on average per day. March is already more than 25% touched, but it's going to take 8-10 weeks to clear us out. 3 months for 1 month of filing is highly concerning. Really, I see only two options for fixing these speeds: (1) California opens back up, or (2) the I-129Fs from April onward get shipped elsewhere. USCIS hiring 200 more adjudicators is nice, but they're not going to Cali, where restrictions are too tight. If that's the only location for I-129F right now, I can't foresee these speeds increasing anytime soon.

Hang in there, March filers. We're getting there.

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure why they haven't started shipping applications to the other service centers. They seem to have the bandwidth to handle more since their case processing times are super low. Who knows, government's gonna government.

At this point I'm just hoping that my fiancé's application is approved so that we can potentially see each other by August of this year, but it's kind of a toss up. I wish Japan would open back up so I could at least fly there and visit.

I may be wrong, but I really believe that things started slowing down dramatically when all K1/K2 petitions went to California and no longer to Vermont, which is where the more complicated K1/K2 cases were processed. I think that it *might* be safe to assume that the cases in earlier months that have not yet been processed are ones that would have been sent to Vermont, which I recall had a timeframe of 12+ months. This could very well explain the current significant increase in processing times. Add covid restrictions to that and you basically have a bit of a mess.

At this point I've stopped getting upset and just accepted it as the fact of the situation. My fiancé and I have went from hopeful in February 2021 when we got engaged and sent out the packet and are now just chatting every day assuming we might be able to see each other by the end of the year or next year.

same, situation, they say never lose hope, but now I just tell my self, good we arent July or later filers, since if this continues like this, with declining processing rates, they will need 13-15 months to get their NOA2.

I do have the slight benefit that processing in Japan seems to be quite quick after the NOA2, but I'm not expecting to see my NOA2 for another month or two going on past trends.

Eh, it’s a complete gamble honestly. You either get hit on the first run-through or you’ll be picked off later. I see you’re a March 4th NOA1, so I’m sorry about that :( I absolutely can’t imagine you’d have two months left, though.

In regards to processing times for filers past April - don’t mean to be a rag, but I think 13-15 months is even being too hopeful. 3 months for one month of processing will *already* make it a 15-18 month wait by May. Again, the only hope is that California opens up or these get shipped elsewhere. Both of those things I don’t see happening for at least two-three months, so it, sadly, does seem like March and April filers are just caught up in the storm.

  Hello everyone;

Can someone  explain or help me understand this ;  This is getting more and more confusing .. My notice date is April 2021 and  the Receipt date is March 15.

I just saw the following : 62500 - 7 Approvals, 1 RFE (=0)  : Is this means  for all cases  62500 ending 62999, only 7 approvals? or what ? Please explain me.  What about the case with 62700 series?  I'm just confused....

Thank you for your explanation

You are correct. Within the range of 62500 through 62999 there were 7 approvals and 1 RFE. This range includes the 62700 series of cases.

Thank you ,

So we are the ones the skipped, because I saw folks saying there are  April 2021  filers who have their NOA2 ... I thought they said cases are processed  in the orders that they are received?

The last approval for an April case was last month, and they get approved very rarely right now (only 122 of the 3777 cases).

The USCIS claims to process cases in order, but that statement is demonstrably false. As an example, March is being worked on when January and February still has filers that haven’t been touched. Lately the USCIS is working on the 60000-63000 range quite a bit when there’s still a large chunk of cases in the 57000-60000 range.

I like to think of getting an approval like winning the lottery at this point, but I’m one of the cases in the 59000 block that seems to have been forgotten, haha.

If your case is in the 62700 range then it seems like they are working on that group of cases now and have been making progress on it nearly every day for the past few days.
