Wow being at NVC for 6 months sounds so upsetting, you'd think it would be smooth sailing once we get our NOA2 seeing as we've waited 10+ months.

Question: does NVC waiting times vary with a petitioner's country? Or is it just a standard backlog regardless of where you're from in the world?

God I just hope this moves fast for all of us because this is just upsetting being away from someone you love :(

At that point it depends on your embassy since NVC sends cases to them as they request them.

It depends on the beneficiary country and how many applications they are accepting at the embassy.

Thank you for your response  :)

I hope the London Embassy is requesting cases. But I guess this gives me time to gather everything I need on my end

Do you maybe happen to know if the London Embassy is accepting cases or moving at a reasonable rate?

I would recommend looking at timelines similar to yours here on Visa Journey to see what the average time is between NOA2 and interview. For example, with Japan it seems to always be roughly 2 months after the NOA2 that the recipients get their visa, though with COVID that's always fluctuating.

Thank you so much for putting so much of your time into this. I am a June filer and have been following up everyday on the March postings to just see how everything is going. This wait has been exhausting and depressing. But seeing the numbers of approvals and people on this site actually getting approved give us in the months after March some kind of hope to hold on too. And of course the more approval in March the sooner we will move on to the months after.

I am so happy that i was able to find this site and sharing this experience with so many people who are going through it and getting everyone through the hard times together as a community.

Hope everyone in March gets their approvals soon. to get one step closer to seeing their loved ones.

Hey! i've been keeping track of the London Embassy progress. You can see the numbers here for each month:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/nonimmigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-nonimmigrant-visa-issuances.html

I've also been making a little chart for myself. They've been at almost pre-pandemic monthly numbers. and i'm pretty sure england is getting rid of covid restrictions so maybe it'll be better going forward. the numbers are updated towards the end of each month for the month prior - so december 2021 is the most up to date stats. i'm not sure how many new cases that they've been requesting from NVC or if this is mostly just backlog, but it's nice to see that they're working on K-1!

Quick search shows most movement concentrated in mid-March this morning. 4 updates in 625x, 1 in 630x, and 3 (approvals!) in 635x. These are considerably light categories, with 640x upcoming being one of the shortest of the month. Choo choo!

57500 - 2 Approvals
58000 - 0
58500 - 0
59000 - 6 Approvals
59500 - Other

All in all today we have 46 changes today so far, with the majority of those being approvals! Interesting to see the focus laying between 59000-60000 and 62000-63500, but it does paint the picture that they are moving ahead into March.

Makes sense that the more difficult cases are take a little longer or that the most productive staff start getting new cases, and those are a little further. One could expect that all of those that are in the first few groups are already assigned.

I hope mine isn't one of the more difficult cases, haha. I went over the packet I sent them about 100 times, checked every page, and I have a pristine history (to my knowledge, no issues with the government or law enforcement, nor no previous relationships). I just keep telling myself that mine is in a stack that either has a lot above it, or maybe some difficult ones above it.
