Interesting, are you sure it's the exact WAC number? Did you get an RFE or anything before, and do you have NOA2 in-hand? That's really strange, but I still believe the case tracker is "generally" correct because we've seen other filers get approved real-time, so there doesn't seem to be much of a delay or anything. Plus it aligns perfectly with our estimates of where we know they're working... regardless, if you got the approval before it updated, then perhaps there's less cases open then we thought. It is very suspicious to me that there's 40+ cases still open in one January category, for instance; while we know some of them are still waiting, that's an oddly high amount.

Thanks for letting us know!

Yes, that's why I'm really confused. No, I didn't get an RFE and I do have the physical copy of the NOA2 that I received last week in the mail. I figured this might be their way of trying to trick us into thinking that there are more cases being approved per day than the actual reality. I used to keep a spreadsheet of cases in the 575x range and updated it to the point of getting the NOA2 and there weren't really that many cases left to be approved. So I highly doubt those were all new approvals in that range today. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I just wanted to post it here to see if anyone else had that issue!

My assumption is that, hopefully, it's quite rare for that to happen; in any case I screenshotted how many cases we had completed from each category as of yesterday, and if something doesn't add up, then we know where the problem happened. If it was a double-approval and yours had already been tracked in the system, then the amount of cases we have left for your group should be incorrect (as I presume when the chart-makers update it, they simply count the approvals and Google Sheets just automatically subtracts it from what's left). We'll see, but I'd hope this is a rare occurrence; on the FB group there were many people happy with approvals, so I figure most of them are probably legit.

So it looks like they just finished updating the March chart for today (43 cases) and if anyone that was doing that could help me out here I'd appreciate it. I took a look at the 575x group that was mentioned above, and in the CaseTracker, there's like 20 approvals/RFEs for them alone. But the chart for today only shows 1 new update - an RFE. I counted how many cases are still left in that group, and there's 21 untouched, whereas yesterday there were 25.

For those doing the chart, was there a problem with the 575x group, and if there was, do you think they were double-counted? A bit confused with what's going on there

(Edit: tagging @CJPinEcuador as I know he helps with that chart)

Ok, so here's what I can see (and she, haha, I'm just the C in CJP)

1. I don't manually add up the approvals and RFEs, Case Tracker does that automatically in a bar graph so the total should always stay about the same, the numbers just move around slightly between Approved, RFE and Other Action.

2. Double approvals happened somewhat commonly in past months, I saw several people post about it here and in the chat I'm in for my country specific embassy. It wasn't a problem for them except I think for some getting to NVC took a bit longer for some reason. The double approval was never really figured out, but the chart only counts them once. If it says approved, no matter what date or how many times they are approved it still just counts the 1 case as 1 approval.

3. changes in 57500 - Total numbers waiver slightly day-to-day (always less than a handful but nothing horribly significant, so those approved today might have been approved before but still show up as one approval per case, this was also seen to be true in other previous month chart too. Why? I'm unsure, but a few cases here or there isn't much)

Jan 18th: Approved 139, RFE 56, Other Action 36, Total 245.

Jan 19th: Approved 142, RFE 58, Other Action 31, Total 245.

Jan 20th: Approved 146, RFE 63, Other Action 24, Total 247.

4. The chart is great to get a general idea of how things are going, but can always be slightly off depending on how USCIS codes things or the automatic counting in the Case Tracker. I wouldn't freak out too much about a few double approvals, the important thing is movement! So numbers may be slightly off, but it's probably nothing to worry about. Double approvals may be some internal thing at USCIS.

Lol duly noted - thank you so much for clearing that up! :) That's so interesting you've noted the double approvals for a while. The March FB group updates throughout the day with screenshots, so that's why I was certain we hit well over 50 today. It hasn't been the first day I've seen your chart's number and been very confused (also a tad disappointed lol). Using that bar feature definitely would clear up the problems, I just count them individually on CaseTracker and that's how we update each other on FB. I'm not sure what the other March chart-maker does but she occasionally has slightly different numbers, too. Plus now we have someone here running *all* of the cases with computer software, so that's bound to be a different number too, haha.

In all, I guess it doesn't really matter so long as we're seeing better progress than before. 570x - 605x are down super, super low, which is nice to finally see. We'll probably have done 200 cases for this week by end of day tomorrow, which also will be our best yet - and Monday was a holiday. As you said, nothing to worry about. I'm still very interested in the progress made by the February filers, as they have to be under 200 outstanding by now and then their adjudicators will move to us (and then, finally, to your April cases :))

Thanks C!

I also got a response with a 45 day timeframe. My NOA1 date is 3/8/2021.

"The status of this service request is:

On 12/30/2021, you contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, or Notice of Intent to Deny.

We hope this information is helpful to you."

Just wanted to share an update. I received the “outside of normal processing time” inquiry response on 1/4 and just received my NOA2 approval on 1/18. So exactly 2 weeks turnaround (they gave me a 45 day timeframe).

I received a response with the same message on January 3 and have yet to have any action on my case. Seeing action around your case is exciting, though! It could bode well for you. I feel like my case was lost in someone's car along with a few others around it, haha.

Hope you see some movement on your case soon!

I got the same thing in that first week of January too and I'm from late April. So who knows what that means. It does say that it's being adjudicated but I'm not sure if that really means that they're looking or not.

Nothing profound to report here unfortunately, extremely slow with only a couple here-and-there. Can always hope for an afternoon drop (it is only 10:30, after all), but pretty disappointing. Will try to keep updating if anything new comes up.

Worth noting, though, that there's movement in the 620x category today (2 RFEs as opposed to 1 in 600x). At least we seem to have confirmation they're complacent with progress in early March and are prepared to move on to mid. At current speeds it'll take until the end of February to get *everyone* from early-mid done, but we'll see. Looks like 20+ February cases were done yesterday, so we had *around* 70 I-129Fs in today being done for the day.

That's so disappointing I'm late March and things are going to get rough if it's a year before we even hear anything back!

I mean yesterday, they seemed to have processed 70+ I-129Fs for January/February/March filers. Today looks very bad though. Many groups are just empty, a handful here-and-there have 1 or 2 RFEs. Not sure what destroyed processing today, we'll see. Still an hour and a half left so something could get dumped later, but yeah, not good.

Edit: Stand a bit corrected. Just checked 600x group now and there were 10 RFEs/approvals that only were updated very recently (I had checked this group only like an hour ago). 4 in the 605x category, 9 in the 610x. So not bad, actually, but their updating is screwing with me haha.
