My impression is that they're not going to be working, but apparently they've been adjudicating the petitions from home anyway. I don't think we'll see any approvals come through, but perhaps they'll be a few more Tuesday morning. We've seen last week 20 approvals come through within 30 minutes of opening and then radio silence for hours, so who knows?

On a positive side, groups 57xx - 605x seem to be around 50% completed. Yesterday the cases completed seemed to be mostly in the upper portion of those. I hope we'll see movement into the 610 - 650 groups soon; i.e., the next 'batch'.

Feels like I'll forever be skipped around, haha. So discouraging but I just keep seeing the overall number go down and hoping.

There's a block of cases (59010 - 59015) (all NOA1 of March 4) that have just been sitting there for a long time (going on 317 days now). Really wish there was a way to know more about the status of our cases.

Is that great? No lol, but we'll see. I find it highly unlikely with this pace that late March filers will be done by March or even April.

You do an amazing work! Thank you so much for pulling up all the data.

The prediction is no glooming, but it is what it is. At this point, I regret not having sent it a little bit earlier. And to think that at some point VJ estimated my approval in November.

Do you know if Uscis is gonna work on Monday??

I hear there is a holiday(Martin Luther king) but I was told it is not a general holiday..

MLK Day is a federal holiday so no, USCIS will not be open on Monday.

Ha, don't thank me! - I just compile all the data I get from everywhere else (plus my own searches throughout the day) and forward it onwards.

Yeah, I certainly don't take comfort in making such a prediction, but it's reality. February is the shortest month and January is over halfway over, we have only like 10 more processing days in the month. Even if we assume 30-50 cases a day, that's still only 300 - 500 of us, and mid-March is heavy - there's 3 filing groups in particular with around 200 each. They've tackled such groups before (i.e. the 600x group was incredibly massive), but there needs to be more speed.

That being said, cases overall, including January/February, are still averaging 70 - 100. There's just been this 'wall' between the February and March filers that has existed for three months now, and none of us are really sure why. I can't complain that much, though, I feel tremendously for the one January group that still has 45 people left. We'll see. At the very least, we know the other months continue to dwindle, processing overall is ticking up, and March will be over 30% done by the end of January. Processing has been compounded by a lot of things outside our control, but we're all almost there. Have a good, long weekend everyone! :)

I received my RFE in the mail today (got the notification on 1/11, so 4 days later).

They said my divorce decree appears to be missing pages. I scanned everything before sending it so I just looked it over and I definitely sent them all (it’s over 40 pages!). It was a certified copy so I guess I’ll order another one from the courthouse just in case pages were lost by the USCIS and try call for more info.

I’m pretty nervous about it because I’ve been reading some horror stories when it comes to USCIS not accepting a decree for whatever reason. I have no idea how long this is going to take to get resolved 😒

We just received our NOA2 last week (the mailed notice states 1/11 as the issue date).

  1. How long should we wait before contacting the NVC for our case number?
  2. I'm also considering getting a head start on the affidavit of support (I-134, employment letter, letter from bank, etc.) documents, as I've seem some suggestions to start doing so, but how long are those valid ahead of the interview?
  3. Lastly, I'm planning to move to a different state in March. Wondering how that might impact the next phases?

Thank you for hearing me out! Wishing everyone some positive progress this week.

Hi, congrats on your approval! :)

1. So I think the NVC is a little bit behind, so I would suggest waiting at least 3 weeks from NOA2 before calling for a better chance that they'll actually have your case created with a number by that point. I've read about some people calling after 2 weeks without getting answers yet, but you never know.

2. The employment letter and I-134 shouldn't be invalid by the time your interview rolls around, unless they finally decide to make a new version of the I-134 or if there is a change in your employer, salary, etc. So you should probably be able to get those in advance without a problem. The letter from the bank, I would maybe wait a bit longer depending on what exactly the letter would contain. Assuming that it would have information about your current balance, maybe waiting would be best. Personally, I went ahead and just requested my tax return transcripts in advance. I wasn't planning on getting a letter from my bank, so I'm not sure about this.

3. I would recommend making an inquiry to the NVC to notify them about your change in address. Although they will likely send further information to you via email and they should contact the beneficiary in their country by post, it might be a good idea to make sure they have your updated address on file for further correspondence, just in case.

I've heard people wait two weeks before contacting NVC, though that whole process seems to have gotten quicker in recent months. Deferring to other members on the rest, I'm not really familiar with the timings of the NVC/later stages.

Just ran the cases from 600x upwards, we had 10 approvals/RFEs in 600x quite early on, followed by approvals in (nearly) each subsequent category until 635x. We haven't seen an approval in 635x for approximately a month. Does indeed look like the next set of cases have been taken/assigned, let's now see what the limit is :) 640x and 645x have nothing new currently and have been sparse for a while.

Edit: A 655x just approved, looks like that could be the upper limit!

Edit 2: 66x RFE, first action since Sept.

Thank you so much for compiling these! What group did you finish off on? I saw some quite higher than I expected.

Also, 580x group has 15 approvals. Wow, wow, wow.
