Question. My fiance is a naturalized US citizen. We sent a copy of naturalization certificate and passport with our I129F. I read that for the interview we should bring originals of all documents sent with I129F. Does this mean I should bring an original of the certificate or is copy of his US passport enough?

My fiance has only a copy and its a bit hard to get an original.

Hello. Has anyone here who filed March 8 heard anything?

Yes, there have been several March 8th approvals, actually. I believe your category is 605xxx? Two were made in there today, it's not a very large category overall. Slow day though, seeing less than 20 March approvals (5 from 59xxxx group, 1 from 595xxx, 9 more from the 60xxxx group). Virtually nothing from then on, though, I wouldn't expect to see any movement on cases after March 10th before the end of the year I'm afraid. Drats! To think I came back home from Belarus on a Saturday and couldn't have shipped it out until the following Monday... so many precious days wasted 😅

One thing I will note is that they sort of just grabbed March 1-8 cases and are just going through them without any particular rhyme or reason. It is worth mentioning that March cases start with 575xxx and a massive 164 of the first group's cases have already been processed, so it's not all that bad. March is just a really, really large filing month, but at the very least we're no longer forgotten. :) Rest easy tonight everyone, back to battle tomorrow!

Thanks for being such a positive person on here! It’s really uplifting especially seeing how March cases are going but like you said, tomorrow is a new day and get back to battling. Here’s to hoping your case and everyone else gets approved ASAP so we can marry our partners!

Haha, thank you - I try! In my mind, this is one of the most important processes of our lives, and while it's certainly upsetting when there's delays, I feel like going through it was an incredible experience. I love how here on VJ and on Facebook you can see where everyone's from, it sort of makes your world smaller and our group feel like a family. Immigrating to the US right now is certainly a wild ride but I'm really proud of everyone here for being so resilient. As the American petitioner, we certainly have an amazingly strong group of people to welcome here soon.

Best of luck to you and yours!

Hello Everyone! Good news! I am a March 8 filer and I got my approval today December 23 2021! I hope everyone here hears something soon!

I'm so happy to hear this! March 8th filers getting approvals is a wonderful sight for the rest of us. Was your WAC 60xxx or 605xx? Just curious to see how far they've advanced, something weird happens in those where later filers show up earlier (I think there's somehow even a March 23rd filer shoehorned in there).

Earlier in the day we had some promise, I check exclusively 60xxx up because I'm too anxious but others looking downward saw 7 status updates within 15 minutes of opening. Honestly it's probably not going to be a "100 case a day" type of day, but we're making respectable progress. At least my prediction of March 1st - 15th filers being 40% likely to get an update by the end of the year seems somewhat correct :)

Congratulations! I am also a March 8 filer but nothing yet. Mine is in the small group of the March 8 filers (about 32 or so - 59500-60000 range). I have seen several March 8 filers with later receipt numbers than mine getting approvals, so I’m hoping that being in that small group doesn’t mean an even more excessive wait time out of being “overlooked” due to the small size of the pool, lol.

Here is a link to an excellent chart one of the March filers is maintaining; you might have access to this one, but I forget if I posted it publicly before. You can definitely see the slowdown this week (which was to be expected), but progress is still being made.

Sending good vibes for tomorrow, fellow soldiers. 43 March approvals on Thursday, so not really what we're hoping for but we'll take it. Perhaps the vacation days will have already run dry and people will be back out in force tomorrow? At the very least, March approvals continue to be the majority, so we're long out of that period where it felt like the Berlin Wall was encircling our petitions. I'm seeing a lot of people get approvals around 290-300 days following NOA1, but we'll see. Today marks 300 days from March 1st. :(

Rats, I’m sorry to see that :( The good news, at least, is that you’re definitely in the pile that’s being worked on. As I’ve seen, everything up to March 8 is fair game, and hopefully we can push a bit farther this week even though it’s still a “holiday”. Even though it’s slow, USCIS seems insistent on pushing forward into new dates every week, so I suppose we may actually see some March 10th filers with approvals soon. At least I hope, of course.

2:30 PM California time update: 12 approvals in total today, which sounds awful, but they’re almost all in the 60xxx group - the one where 300 people filed on the same day, lol. The good news is that early March has filled in nicely, and even though this is clearly a vacation week, someone in the office sat down and is committed to forging ahead. I’ll update here again at the end of day, but at least we’re seeing progress into the 60000s. Average cases per day these past two weeks is low, about 30-40.
