I’m already obsessed with checking the case tracker app, and it seems like they are already processing NOA1s for early-mid february! I’m happy that the NOA1 probably won’t take 10+ weeks for us unless there’s some unforeseen slowdown again. I will be super excited to feel like it’s actually in process!!

It’s frustrating not being able to even guess at how long the embassy stage will be. It seems like our embassy in Canada hasn’t processed any K1s past April 2020 yet :( but hoping once restrictions in Montreal loosen up a bit they are able to get through some of the backlog before it’s our turn.

Best of luck to you both in Montreal! That's wonderful hearing that much more recent NOA1s are being processed. I left to visit my fiancee in Belarus in December, I debated submitting then but it would be difficult for her to move before January 2022, so we figured it would be best waiting until the day I came back. Still uncertain about that decision seeing the wait times, but it does seem like the ones from then just sat in limbo for a while. Also, according to USCIS there's large discrepancies between the different service centers for processing I-129F; if I properly recall, California is written as 7 months, whereas Texas is at 14. Looks like a lot were accumulating for a while.

Regarding the embassy stage, some people were writing here saying they were getting calls for interviews despite the embassy page officially saying they were closed. I would imagine that by the time the I-129F is cleared, the embassy stage will be relatively fine, so long as a lot of people aren't already waiting at your location. By the way, could you please explain how to check when any individual embassy last processed a certain type of visa?

My application was sent and post office delivered it to the PO box of immigration in Texas on February 1st.

i have not yet recieved a receipt yet or NOA1. It’s frustrating. I am hoping to get it by the end of this month. I am tired of the process already but hope to see shorter wait times.

hi, i sent my i-129f application on February 5 to the texas center and they received it on Feb 8th, i just received my text and email notification on March 17 with my case nuimber. It looks like they are taking 7-8 weeks to notify  but the good thing is that the priority date will be the day they receive the applications. Also they routed my case to California which it looks they are sppeding up the process.

Your NOA-1 should be Feb 8th. You are a feb filer and they are backdating all the cases because of the delay.

To piggyback off this if I may, my packet was picked up from the lockbox on March 18th; is it safe to assume that my NOA-1, when I receive it, will be dated to March 18th? And then when attempting to calculate expected wait times, I should count from March 18th as opposed to the day I actually get NOA-1? Thank you!

Yes exactly. Your NOA-1 should be March 18th and your wait time starts from there not when you receive the actual text or letter.

Did you pay a filing fee of $535? I just saw on the case tracker app about 5-6 rejected for incorrect fee and now I’m panicking !

You will know whether you are rejected within a few days of filing.  Take in a deep breath, release it slowly and smile because you started your journey.

If the case tracker app is causing panic, take a break from it.  Seriously.  If you do not hear anything after 1 week of filing, then you are on the road to getting your NOA-1.

Thank you it was actually my first time using the case tracker app which is what makes me panic even further...

Hellooooo.... just want to confirm that your filing fee was $535 right ? I saw 8 cases on the tracker get rejected for incorrect fee and I looked it up in the uscis site and it says $535 but in some it said $510!
