Will I get anything by email or postage mail ??

Yes, you'll get notification  I 797 from USACIS and you have to keep it, because you will need that document for AOS. NVC will send an email when they  receive your case and a few weeks later you will get the same in post

Never Mind, you do need the Application Receipt/Petition Number  so I guess i have to wait for NVC

No, you don't need NVC case number for DS 160. In DS 160 application receipt is your WAC. It says so in the description. You can fill your DS when NVC status on ceac.state gov is ready.

this is better than last week. But I have also ran the numbers in  April and there are some approvals in April as well maybe that's why. They have slowly started April as well and in think they are just trying to clean up March in the meantime. just my opinion.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

A marked improvement indeed, also comparing to early morning.

Sad to see they are just skipping my group, which still has 92 cases untouched.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I really hope that by the end of this month the latest you will have a response. I know how hard it is as days go on it gets harder and harder. But sadly this is our reality

Where are you seeing this, is this within your DS-160 or TravelDocs? DS-160 does not ask for anything outside USCIS from what I recall. If you're on the DS-160, I'm pretty sure the accompanying tooltip makes clear this is not your case number, but your WAC from USCIS.

Thank You. 😇😇😇I was just not too sure. How long is a DS-160 valid for? Because I already completed it without waiting for my case to go to NVC

DS-160 should remain valid for like a year (iirc) so long as the information on it remains valid and true. I've heard from some people that, if your embassy doesn't require it to schedule the appointment, it's fine to make it very close to the interview itself and then bring the 'updated' confirmation page. Not entirely sure if it matters, the rules are highly embassy-specific it appears. Good luck!

My fiancé and I where filling out the DS-160 yesterday and indeed it does ask for your NVC application receipt number.

edit: sorry it was our mistake, it’s not the NVC number but indeed your WAC number from USCIS. Need to go edit that in our application now, good thing we hadn’t submitted yet!
