a theory on RFEs…

the proof of meeting within last 2 years that we all submitted might be aging out because of extended processing times and maybe they are asking additional proof.

anyone here received RFE, please let us know the reasons.

They have to consider at the time of applying no? We can't provide more photos after we have already submitted applications.

you are right… theory invalidated.

Evidence you met your fiancé(e) in-person within two years of you filing your Form I-129F

It is within two years of filing, so they cannot RFE for that unless they consider that the submitted evidence was insufficient.

It could be due to not enough information. I read somewhere that when COVID hit with a lot of countries closing borders ...a lot of couples rushed to complete a K-1 application due to not knowing when they would be able to see their partner. If that is the case, maybe a lot of things were missed in the filing process (like unchecked boxes) or maybe there was not enough proof to prove a bona fide relationship (not enough pictures, or a relationship that seems to rushed etc).

Either-way I found this from a previous thread: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bzoWOXOCsvHICvLEZt540eG2CkqEFaPV8MY18Q6E0f0/edit#gid=2061710905

The last input was from 2016 but it gives an idea of what things they could possibly ask for in an RFE

hello!

I'm new here, we still waiting on USCIS, we are on day 342 and havent received the NOA2, NOA1 was on March 31

i have a question please, were we supposed to send in the beneficiary's birth certificate in the first packet.

i assumed the beneficiary sends the birth certificate when they apply for the non immigrant immigration visa

That is correct. The beneficiary needs to send the birth certificate when completing the DS-160 (second step) after the initial approval of the I-129F (first step). But if you are referring to the RFE master list. From my understanding you can receive an RFE from any-point in the process. So not all of the RFEs on that list is from the first step.

Yes i saw the master list and panicked because we didnt send the birth certificates yet, it wasnt in the requirements

I dont think i can stand an RFE right now, its been almost a year.

Good morning March filers!

Today after 2 inquiries ,1 ombudsman inquiry and 1 congressional inquiry I reached One Year ( 1 yr) on waiting for USCIS to process my 635XX case. Currently, I'm in line for a Tier 2 callback with up to a 30 day wait. This is my emotional rollercoaster and beat down of a visa journey courtesy of USCIS .

I am hopeful that I will receive NOA2 but it has been a very frustrating process of waiting while seeing many others with later than Mar 8th  NOA1 dates receive their approvals.

Let's see what today brings wishing luck to all and myself on a NOA2 this week.

Beneficiary birth certificate was not part of the packet.

This process has been the worst, my fiance and I get so depressed at times. We have weddings we wanted to attend together this year, places we wanted to go, just get our life started together, all on hold! It's been rough Soo right there with you.

I'm also at one year today. Thankful to have gotten an RFE and they marked the response as received 2/28. I really hope this is your week on getting some news! It is a defeating feeling when you've tried all attempts for an answer and there isn't one!

Best of luck to all. Trying to stay positive and hopeful to be with our loved ones soon! 🤍
