Anyone live in California and want to meet up to drink our sorrows away?

Anyone living in California should go visit the service center with cookies or something to motivate them LOL

Hi!😊

I hope everyone is doing well ^-^

Sad to see today`s very low numbers😔, hoping tomorrow they will pick up the pace.

So I noticed that there are a lot of [Request For Additional/Initial Evidence Was Sent] (orange colour in Case Tracker) that have not been updated/touched since early January or December (some even November)……I know that petitioners and their beneficiary must send evidence in order their cases to be proceeded. I mean people do not respond? They do not want to be a part of the process anymore? Can we still consider them as a part of petitioners?

Just curious ^-^ what are your thoughts or theories?😀

I hope it's the petitioners that are taking a while to send things back and not USCIS taking a while to process the information they get back... From what I have heard, people who send things back for their RFE's promptly have heard back promptly as well

This was an article written about Bidens state of the union and the USCIS.

"The administration has also taken steps to speed up visa processing in the face of inflated backlogs. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Homeland Security agency that processes visa requests made within the U.S., waived interview requirements for the relatives of refugees and of those granted asylum. USCIS also reinstated a policy, terminated under the prior administration, to defer to past approvals when renewing individuals’ visa requests.

“They’ve taken a number of steps to start reversing course to start patching up the holes in the system,” said Sharvari Dalal-Dheini, government relations director at the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

However, “you don’t feel the changes on the ground,” she said, stressing the need for broader re-imagination of the system. “Serious repair needs to be done to the hull of the ship.”

Ya we don't feel it at all!

No luck yet for me, happy to see approvals today though. Usually if it didn't happen by half day there isn't much change later in the day sooo 😭

Hi All,

Just did some run on the numbers of this morning to see if we had a good start of the morning. The run was done around 08:30-8:50 San Diego time.

57000 - 0
57500 - 1 Approval
58000 - 1 Approval
58500 - 0
59000 - 0
59500 - 0
60000 - 0
60500 - 0
61000 - 0
61500 - 0
62000 - 1 Approval
62500 - 1 Approval
63000 - 1 Approval, 1 RFE
63500 - 0
64000 - 1 Approval
64500 - 1 Approval
65000 - 0
65500 - 2 Approvals
66000 - 1 Approval
66500 - 1 Approval
67000 - 0
67500 - 4 Approvals
68000 - 2 Approvals
68500 - 2 Approvals
69000 - 0

So far 19 Approvals, 1 RFE, which is around half of yesterday production. If they keep this pace it could be a good day, but let's see how we get to lunchtime, and mostly end of day.

I just don't understand why 63500 continues to be skipped...🤨

I will say that there will be many approvals/RFEs in April beyond though, as Ukrainian filers seem to be getting their expedites approved. USCIS is going to have to allocate resources to them, which means we should expect the numbers to at least be slightly thinner for the next couple of weeks. Of course, that depends on how many Ukrainian beneficiaries there are, and how many of them are aware they can expedite. I know there was a theory that the main USCIS slowdown in September was due to Afghan applications, and while that's likely true, I'm not sure we'll see a similar slowdown again for Ukrainians. Those were an influx of Special Interest Visas, and these are just expedites, so I'm not sure.

Continuously wishing you all the best, my fellow March friends!

Edit: @DSBeijing will probably be able to track the expedite approvals with his algorithm, that'll be very helpful to see if more are being done or if the March adjudicators have been placed elsewhere

It is like all cases were allocated to only 2 people, and both took a leave.

Yes there have been 71 approved expedite requests in last 2 day. 54 were approved, 16 Denied, and one is under consideration.

Usually there is 3-4 expedites per Month, so we can assume that these are cases from Ukraine.

I guess the "step" has not taken effect yet... 60+ approval for today (month of March).  I wonder how much are they working with the other months.
