March 2021 K1 I-129F filers

Man, I just recently learned about the newly increased processing times, which hit me like a truck as I was still operating under the blissful assumption that the average time frame for a NOA2 was 5-8 months.

I genuinely hope that all March filers will get their approval within the next few weeks.

Definitely bummed out, but not completely hopeless (albeit kicking myself for not filing earlier). What do you think, is there any hope at all for things to pick up speed over the next few months? Or do you think they will stay just as dire? I'll take anything, secret intel about upcoming policy changes, gut feelings, scrying lol

I mean, the problem is that NOA2 is a guaranteed 11 month+ wait time from this week onwards; they're very unlikely to move on to April before completing March (like we saw with February filers), and with February 2022 almost over, nearly all of us left are waiting over 11 months for NOA2. April 2021 is unlikely to start until April 2022, so you can imagine how that will compound. The 9-10 month side of the estimated processing time is already long gone, I'm afraid.

Now, about it picking up? Last week we did tremendously well, 400+ cases done was wonderful. Sadly, 400/week will mean that it'll take 2 full months to clear out each filing month. For things to stay as they are (i.e., 11-12 months NOA2) they'll need to process around 700-800 a week; to improve, over 1,000. That's why we follow the numbers so closely, but the numbers haven't been too kind for us until only very, very recently.

Good luck tomorrow, everyone

I follow along a bit with my own tools, running the updates a couple times a day or so and its interesting I saw 6 approvals and an RFE come in today. So someone is working on a holiday.

Ya I saw that too in the 65000 range. I was like oh some lucky people got approved today!

Huh, that's very interesting to see! I guess that does suggest that at least some employees are still working from home; I can't imagine commuting to the office on a holiday and being the only one there, lol. Nonetheless, congratulations to those lucky filers.

Edit: the main March chart ran it on Saturday and found 9 updates on 2/19. I ran the chart myself just now and noticed 2 of those were in 640x and 3 in 645x, which were not updated at all on Friday. Very strange indeed. I'm happy that this seems quite definitive, though, that there's more attention being put on our applications. :) We've never, ever seen work on weekends, after-hours, or on federal holidays before. Let's hope for a great Tuesday tomorrow, everyone. Perhaps if we're very lucky, we can get over 500 done and only have <1,000 of us left :o

May I ask which tool you are using to track daily cases? Sorry if it's been mentioned before, I haven't been able to find it so far.

@PangoleenThe app is called case tracker. But there's a Google excel sheet lemme see if I have the link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-KrCTr9vliewjQfS0omnCI7eW8IqiLPJ2US4rRtpxAE/edit

I do have the app but I can't seem to figure out how to look up cases other than my own. Sorry, still very new to this - I'm probably just blind.

That's ok. On the bottom if you click search then type in your case you can search up to a range of 500 other cases. Just change the range of the search. Then if you want to look at 500 below just change your search criteria

Back after the 3-day weekend! It appears as though some action happened yesterday as well. I'll go ahead and include those changes in today's updates.

So, not entirely sure what's going on but we're looking at an abysmal 11 updates today, with 4 of those happening today. I suppose we'll see what happens by the end of the day. Curious as to what range they are tackling, or if they were shifted to prioritize something else.
