I hope not, but I have been in too many meetings with Officials focusing on the type of message to pass to the public to look at that one and just shrug my shoulders,

The USCIS appears to be revising how they work to improve case processing times, though none of that will come to fruition in time to benefit the current March filers. Let's see where we are at today so far.

thank you for this, I've had this black cloud over me for four days because no one in our group has been touched. this lifted my spirits a bit.

Yes. I understand. My group still has over 90 left and we had not been touched in a few days as well, and in the past few weeks there was little to none movement in it. There was one approval today, close to me, and that has been enough to lift my spirit as well, even though it was an approval preceded of RFE. We will be eventually blessed.

Unfortunately, that press release has nothing to do with 1-129F processing time. This is the I-129 - Petition for non-immigrant workers. This is mostly work related petitions/ forms. Basically the US  knows they need more workers and getting people EAD cards in a timely manner. This only comes into play for K1's who are waiting for the AOS and filed the work permit. So basically you can now get your work authorization faster.

No, the I-129F is included and the goal is six months. The goal for the I-129, which is the one that you are referring to, is two months, or two weeks if premium. Regardless, this will have virtually no effect for March 2021 filers. 
 

While true that they are going to focus on speeding up employment-based processing, they are also looking

to reduce the backlog for other forms to six months, the I-129F included.

I think it is addressing the goals for each form. If their goal is to process I-129F in 6months by the end of FY23, it is quite huge improvement if they are able to reduce the processing time from 14months to 6months in a year.

Yes i agree. i meant to say that the premium processing is really what this is about. That 6 month goal will probably start 2024
