So that means it’s being processed by your local office, the same that will conduct the N400 interview, so they have the power to approve the two on the same day if they want to do so

Today they send me combo interview letters for both I-751 and N-400

Just an update VJ friends,

N 400 interview was 7/14 and passed but couldn't make a decision pending I 751. 7/20 N-400 approved. 8/5 Oath Ceremony.

What a mind blowing process started in 2018, glad to have the Feds out of my bed.

Good luck VJ buds for all the help all these years, God speed to you all.

Hi, I had my combo interview yesterday. The officer said I was approved. A few hours later my online status changed to “we recommended that your form N400… be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review”.

a few minutes later it changed to “your form N400… was place in line for oath ceremony scheduling”

Some minutes later it changed to “We canceled the scheduled appointment for the oath ceremony…”

Then, they placed me in line again. Now it just says “oath ceremony will be scheduled”. Anybody has had their ceremony scheduled and then canceled with no reason and the put back in line? Why coyol this be?

how long is it taking for them to schedule? How long should one wait before calling to complain? Do they have a number of days to schedule? Or can they take as long as they want?

thanks!!

Had my interview a few days ago. I arrived in the waiting area, and less than a minute later got called in. So much quicker than back in Tampa! I brought my husband with just in case, fortunately the officer said she would be conducting both the ROC and naturalization interviews, so he would have to be there for the first portion of the interview and leave for the 2nd. We brought my baby daughter as well since I'm breastfeeding, and she was allowed in no issues. After answering questions about our relationship and each other, my husband left and the officer conducted the civics and English test. Then we just went over my paperwork (she asked for my daughter's birth certificate as well, luckily I did bring it even though it wasn't mentioned in the letter or anywhere else), the yes/no questions and finally she had me check that the info on my naturalization certificate would be correct.

So happy to be almost done with this journey :)

I feel ya, we are done and about 5 weeks until passport...trust me it feels great! I'm holding onto everything I have for my wife, all her old history, old addresses, family data education everything but man I'm deleting and tossing out like crazy all the lame proof we had to do provide to prove we weren't committing fraud that grew year over year for 4 years, month to month for living document evidence no longer needed (bills, credit card statements, bank statements, insurance etc. all financial month to month non sense we had to gather so big like a old school yellow pages).

So, on August 19th, 2022, my N-400 interview was scheduled for the end of September 2022. My timeline is below:

90 day mark for submission (N-400):  Feb. 2022.

Submitted N-400: June 10th, 2022 (online).

N-400 Online Biometrics Waiver: June 10th, 2022 (literary minutes after submission).

N-400 NOA1: June 10th, 2022 (online portal) + physical copy a week after in the mail.

I-751 Pending?: Yes, submitted on March, 2021.

I-751 Transferred?: Yes, on June 15th, 2022 -- five days after N-400 online submission.

N-400 Current Status: Interview Scheduled (August 19th, 2022 for end of September, 2022)

I-751 Current Status: Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction (June 15th, 2022)

I-751 Field Office (FO): Originally, EAC but transferred to NBC on June 15th, 2022.

N-400 Field Office (FO): NYC, NY

I am hoping that this is a combo interview for both my I-751 and N-400 here at the NYC FO. I am taking my spouse with me.

Good luck, all!

Hello! I filed for the i751 on 3/1/21 (received 3/5) and the LIN/Nebraska office has been processing it (no movement after biometrics accepted).

In the meantime I filed for the N400 and received notice that my interview is scheduled for next month (Seattle).

A few questions:

Should I expect a combo interview and if so will the lack of movement on my i751 hinder my N400 timing?

It looks like Seattle has same day Oath. Do I get my naturalization certificate the same day? (I want to apply for a passport asap).

thanks!

Today is my turn to share my experience.

March 1, 2022 = applied online.
March 1, 2022 = Biometric Reuse
July 6, 2022 = Interview Was Scheduled
August 24, 2022 = interview date
Waiting for the ceremony date.

COMMENTS
My interview started 1h later than the scheduled time, although I was there 30 minutes before the scheduled time. My spouse was there as well since I had a pending I-751, and it was a combo interview (USCIS called to notify me that my spouse must go with me for the interview). My spouse was asked only his full name and date of birth. The office asked for updated documents since I applied for the I-751, and updated tax documents. Asked the yes and no questions. Confirm that I want to drop my middle name. Asked about travel after the filing date. And at the end, let me know that she was recommending me for the approval, and was requesting my I-751 documents to be approved, and the ceremony date will be mailed to me (about 3 weeks from the interview date).
