I-751 March 2021 Filers

Just got the NOA that our I-751 ROC has been approved. So we submitted on 3/12 and were approved 8/17, just a smidge over 5 months.

So they not only re-used biometrics, they also skipped the interview as well. I'm assuming this is probably due to COVID.

Our K1 process was a bear so it's nice to have something go our way. Our filings have always been very thorough with evidence so that may have been a factor.

I assume you live in Dallas? All of the recent March approvals have mostly been in Dallas for some reason

I'm curious why some are being approved for ROC so quickly. The case processing times for some seem to be 3-4 months. On the USCIS site, for example, average processing time for ROC at YSC is listed as being 20-22 months. I hope the fast processing times will continue and am wondering why some cases seem to be flying through the system? Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Is not a perfect system. There are several service centers, some of them have more staff, some receive more cases than others, some cases require interviews and they get in long queues at local offices. Some other cases require extensive background checks, some require more evidence. So in other words, every case is different and sometimes it takes longer.

But I do see processing time as of now is January 26th 2021

That works off an automatic system it increases 1 day everyday and normally at the end of each month someone goes to tweak it, regardless of where the processing time is they always have backlogged cases particularly for cases that are waiting for interview

tombs07 my wife just had her biometrics done two weeks ago. So no interview for "removal of conditions" for green card extension? due to covid I'm assuming... given our timeline for the group, next year is N-400!!! Exciting!!! Did you guys have to do biometrics again? my wife had hers done in Argentina, not sure if that's the reason why she had to do it here again. Either way, it wasn't re-used for some reason.  Congrats!! Happy for you guys!

Hi cm17, they used my old biometrics and I did not go through an interview. I wouldn't want to give false expectations but I am hoping it would be the same process for you. Upon writing this, I just received my green card valid for 10 years. Good luck and cheers!

As your wife entered with a spousal visa, your wife didn't need to adjust status, therefore she didn't go through biometrics and interview in the US.

That means that besides the biometrics that were already taken, you both will more than likely, go through an interview at your local office.

We got an RFE notice today from CSC 😑

At least someone looked at our case? We filed through a lawyer and sent everything and then some the first time around.

The notice lists items they received, but also fails to mention a whole slew of other evidence we know was sent.

This is a bit frustrating.  .  .
