Had interview at the Hialeah office two weeks ago. Interview was very short and usual questions (how did you meet and where do you live, etc). Overall went well and officer said "everything looks good" but they need to run background check again and couldn't approve on the spot. They said they run it again in case you do something criminal between the last check and now or something liek that.

The weird thing is I got the letter for reused biometrics. Is that not also the background check? To make it weirder he said they have to send the request in paper not electronic now and it would take a little longer.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? My status still shows "We have scheduled an interview". Am I being put back in line for biometrics? MSC and this is the second interview (had one 2 years ago too, also quick and basic)

Thanks.

What interview? Final Interview? if yes, what was your timeline? SRC?

In-person biometrics are slowly coming back it seems.

Hopefully not. If I could avoid doing one step in this whole process then I would.

Haven't heard any update in a couple of months. I think WAC is notoriously slow when it comes to update on biometrics and whether it is waived or required again.

An app I'm using that's also tracking 751 timelines has one person from March getting approved and another one scheduled for interview. Looks like they are starting to work on March SRC filers now.

What's the name of the app?

When they reuse biometrics they simply reuse the previously captured information, like fingerprints, picture and signature. That information alone is not a background check, they use that info to run a background check. In other words do you remember when you did biometrics the first time? Well they captured your information. That process alone is not a background check, it is only the action of getting your biometric information. A background check takes days, weeks and even months depending on that specific case.

I am surprised you filed a few months back and you already had an interview 2 weeks ago? You know this specific forum is for people who filed on March 2021.

Hurry up and wait I guess. MSC

So you applied on March 6th 2021 and your service center is MSC and you have already finished your interview 2 weeks ago? Wow.  And here I thought I might have to wait for couple of months just to get biometrics. I am also with MSC.
