Is it normal to wait this long for news of an interview date? Our case was completed Feb 6 and we're still waiting for the next sign of life from the NVC (the interview is in Montreal, so NVC assigns the date). Emailed and called the NVC, as well as the consulate in Montreal, but they just say that all necessary documents have been received and that as soon as an interview date is assiged we will be notified. Getting pretty impatient! Do you think something has happened? It's almost April, exactly one year since my darling and I have been apart. Due to borders. ###### I hate borders.

Harding it does take some time. Not all but alot of the consulates are running 4 months or longer to schedule interviews for the CR1s. Mine took 6 months and a few others are taking this long or longer. Wishing you all the best.

Sadly, it's totally normal, and I'm afraid you may have more of a wait ahead of you yet. :(

My case was completed on November 17th, interview was March 20th.

Another girl here had her case completed in December, and her interview is in mid-April. If I had to guess, I'd say your interview will probably be June. Hard to say, though, because Montreal may finally be speeding up.

Try to stay positive, though God knows it's hard! Call them in April (they schedule between the 1st and 14th) and ask them. Who knows, maybe they'll speed up and schedule a lot of people for May interviews and you'll be one of them.

I'm crossing my fingers for you that it's soon!
