I am really happy to have had my expedite request approved. However it has been 4 days and the status has not changed from expedite request approved (I.e card has been ordered, card is being produced, card is in mail etc etc)

has anyone had a similar situation? Perhaps the card could come without the status updating? or am I now just in another long line?

I have seen people have their expedite approved around the same time as mine and their cards are already in the mail. I’m not sure at what point I need to reset my expectations.

expedite timeline:

requested expedite 2/9/21

request evidence 2/13/21

expedite request approved 2/22/21

How long after you faxed evidence did you get approved? I faxed mine just over a week ago and still haven't had any update.

Sorry, just saw the timeline you had put ! hopeful to hear something soon.

I hope you hear soon. Just from seeing other people’s expedite experiences it seems that within the expedite requests there’s another layer and those within the medial field are number 1 priority, others with a COVID related reason are next and everything else seems to fall below that.

our reason to expedite is COVID related but not a RN or doctor so I can understand why my card would take longer than a healthcare professional.

Hi there! I am curious ... did you get any confirmation email from USCIS after sending the faxed information? And did you fax everything Feb 13 and heard back roughly ten days later?

Expedite request approved means nothing more than that you're now on the pile of cases that will be worked on faster. It's still a pile how you already found out. Hope they'll get to your case soon.

@INF usually there is no confirmation that they received your fax. When they get to it you'll get either the expedite requests approved or denied update.

What’s the COVID reason for expedite? And what other reasons could be used to apply for expedite process?

My covid related reason was a final stage interview with the largest supplier of covid tests in the world. Once I get the job offer I will submit this to them if my card hasn’t already been produced to hopefully speed it along.

In addition I used financial loss as my second reason to request the expedite.

Still nothing, even requested a call back from tier 2 agent and nothing from that either.

Yep sounds like my case too. Sent in evidence Feb 24. How about you?
