Visa Process Stuck waiting on Medical Results

Hello all, my Fiance's visa is stuck in a wierd spot and I cannot find anyone to help or knows why, so I thought I'd ask the experts.....

 

Last year in March of 2020 she had her interview scheduled along with her medical, so on a Tuesday she went and did her medical, then was asked if she would like to move up the date of her embassy interview due to the embassy needing to wrap up all the pending appointments before the covid shutdown, so she did the Embassy interview on the next day, Wednesday. It all went well, they took her passport saying they would get the medical results asap and get it issued and sent back. So 2 weeks goes by and she gets her passport back in the mail, with no visa, and a letter saying the embassy is shut down and to resubmit the passport for issuing visa at a later date. So we patiently waited till November 2020 and she got the letter finally saying to mail back the passport, and a few documents, nothing major, so we did that and have been waiting again now going on 3 months....

 

Now its today, Almost March of 2021. At this point she has contacted the embassy 3 times now, once every month, and while we get more info every time it still comes back to the same thing, the Embassy is waiting on receiving the medical evaluation from the Doctor. The status field was set to "Processing" but now has just been blank for quite some time. Every attempt to contact the hospital or doctor directly has also not worked, what makes it worse is that the embassy has been holding her passport so we cannot travel in the meantime.

 

But my final question is that since it will have been almost 1 year since the medical exam, will she need to do another one anyways? Or will we still be stuck waiting for the previous one?

Medical is only valid for 6months.
