I made an infopass appointment and just got back from USCIS in Philadelphia. I applied to remove conditions in September 2020 but haven't received anything, after calling USCIS who confirmed they received my application but said it was just slow processing, they advised me to make an infopass appointment so I have proof of residency. So I went to uscis today and the rep who I had an appointment with took my green card as it was expired and gave me a stamp in my passport instead. It looks like I made the stamp myself, is this normal? It's just a stamp that says it extends my greencard with a load of handwriting underneath it. I'm panicking a bit as the lady who helped me didn't seem to be concentrating, she didn't ask me any questions and she was ordering fried chicken on the phone when she was making the stamp and the appointment only took 5 mins. I'm an over cautious person so I just want to make sure. Am I going to be able to use their stamp to re-enter USA after traveling?

Physical green card and the stamp are technically the exact same thing (I-551) and can be used in the exact same ways. The page that they stamped should also have the raised seal of the Department of Homeland Security as proof of its authenticity.
