Where are the Dominican Republic filers? What stage is everybody at? If you already have your NOA2, is anyone thinking of expediting?

Currently I am awaiting NOA2. My NOA 1 date is 7/14. I am getting paperwork together for an expedite but I am not ready to submit yet.

Submit as soon as possible if you can! There is a LONG wait for interviews! The embassy is currently interviewing couples whose case was documentarily qualified in April and May! That’s all done at the NVC just sitting and waiting for interview appointments for like 9 months. My IR1 case was approved in September and we are still waiting. Just some advice :)

Just wanna confirm, you don't have to wait for NOA2  to submit an expedite??

No, but you would be more likely to get an expedite if your case was complete at the NVc. My expedite was denied and i had kidney surgery so good luck! You need a serious illness ( more serious than kidney surgery i guess)

That's what i figured. I just sent my RFE a few weeks ago so hopefully NOA2 is next. Then that's when I'll submit the expedite. The worst they can do is say no. I have to try at least

Oh wow this is good news that the embassy is conducting interviews for DQ in April/May. I wonder why the US embassy DR website would not confirm that they are doing routine IR1/CR1 interviews. My wife was DQ in late September also 😊

I think they might doing routine services under the radar until they can catch up with all the backlog. Then they will "officially" begin routine services

Oh wonderful, I want to believe that this is the case and they are working under the radar for routine services and not only for expedited appointments.

Just in case anyone is interested. We know not everyone checks VJ everyday but most of us are on WhatsApp daily so:

Nikki Longone and I have set up a WhatsApp group for any Dominican filers to use and stay in close contact about our case statuses and also current news about the K1 Visa. If anyone is interested in the group and your spouses also(my fiancé is joining as well), let's use this as an informative platform to connect and keep everyone up to date about everything going on in their cases so we can stay positive, and engaged while we all go through this difficult process through these trying Covid times. We would be more than happy to exchange phone numbers with you and send you an invite to the WhatsApp K1 Visa support group, just send either one of us a private message!

The consulado in Dominican Republic has stated that they have resumed limited visa services.

That makes me very hopeful. Also hoping USCIS approves my petition soon 🙏🏽🙏🏽
