Stuck on "Fingerprint taken" ??

Has anyone ever been stuck in "fingerprints taken." i helped a friend with the petition for her mom when I was doing the petition for my husband. Since I was getting all the information and doing my husband I said I could help.  Because of money, they had done her dad's petition first with an attorney, and were saving for the moms petition, so I only help her through the mom's petition to help them save that money.

Well, her mom was approved, my husband was approved, but her dad's case is stuck in the fingerprint taken and has not received any interview yet. He has his permit but, does anyone know why this could be? Its so weird that the one case with an attorney is the one taking longer. Does that has anything to do with it taking longer?
