Yeah they are all up and down the West Coast. They make the best seismic sites because they are nice and quiet. LA County fire has one as well at their helicopter site up in the hills above Malibu.

I highly suspect he was on some kind of substance (most likely rx drugs) when he crashed his car. It just doesn't make sense otherwise and he's been known to be on prescription drugs in the past. It was either that or he was in a very questionable mental state. It is a sad reality but I really believe more details about this will come to the forefront soon. From other details I've heard about his state, I highly suspect some kind of opiate addiction.

It's one possibility, but it could also be distracted and aggressive driving. He was by some accounts, running late, agitated, and almost struck someone in the lot of the hotel he had just exited. I always want to know how all these celebrities get their opiates... most people I know, including myself got sent home out of surgery with nothing. Heck, I can't even get something stronger to soothe my dog from surgery.

The key things that make me suspect opiates are the fact that he "seemed unaware of how injured he was" and that he was described as "bloated" and "zoned out".

Oh I'm sure there are very high end drug dealers who cater to a higher up clientele. Despite the crackdowns on opiates, they're still very much accessible if you have money.
