5 Month RFE wait time at the CSC

Hi, our RFE was a simple one - Our attorney had forgotten to check one of the boxes in the I129F relating to whether the US Citizen had ever been charged with a crime (She hadn't). We got our RFE on September 4th, and the CSC received our response on September 14th. Since then we've heard nothing. We have reached out to USCIS multiple times through their live chat feature and their online request service regarding this and been given the standard 'your case is being processed response.' I've been told that simple RFE's usually take weeks, and we're currently sitting at  5 months so we're quite concerned. Is there any reason it should be taking this long? Is there any way to get through to an agent on the phone; would that even help?

It usually doesn't take this long. Most people hear back in a few weeks. Did you send them an email asking why it's taking so long? Perhaps it got lost with everything going on?

Emailed who? as I said in the post we've submitted online enquiries through the USCIS Tools section and used the online chat to speak to someone and both simply came back saying that the case is still being processed. Is there a way to email the service centre directly that would help?

Not a lot you can do.  For the post-POE processes, maybe consider ditching the attorney.  Most of the time they are not needed, and can create extra delays such as this.
