tracking paper filed case on USCIS website

Hi all, 

 

I am currently abroad, and filed the first step of the CR1 process by submitting the I-130. This has been received by USCIS, and I'm trying to add the paper filed case on to my online USCIS account.

It then asks for my "Online Access Code"

However, I asked my housemates at my home address in the US, and they did not receive any mail from the USCIS which would contain this information.

 

I also called USCIS at 800-375-5283 and there is no way to speak to a representative.

 

any advice?

It sounds like you need to wait for NOA1 to be physically mailed to you.

Call USCIS and Ask for technical assistance at each prompt.  It has worked for many in the past.  Please reply to this thread and let us know if it works for you.

You will get a letter with your online access code in the mail. It’s a separate letter from the NOA1. Only then you’ll be able to add your case to your USCIS account.

this was great, was immediately able to speak to a human. And although the resolution was not optimal, it was satisfactory.
