K1 Visa questions (split topic)

Sorry if I'm off topic.......

 

 

Question........

 

I sent in my K1 visa application for my fiancee 1/4/21 and I tracked it to see that it was delivered to the US Department of Homeland Security USCIS .......this was the Texas location of PO Box 660151 Dallas, Texas 75266.........and I see that it was delivered 1/8/21 but I have not heard a peep from them or received any sort of notice that they even have it.

 

How can I find out if they even have it????

 

I hate to waste months to learn that it's not actually there to begin with..........

 

I seen several people stating that they were told it was received by USCIS...........either text or email. I provided the correct form to be notified, I have a copy of it here now so I know its correct.

 

What can I do??????

We're still in a pandemic. NOAs are taking at least 6-8 weeks to be sent out. 

 

I sent out my ROC package recently and it took that much time and the text didn't come till after I received my paper NOA instead of the other way around.

 

You can opt to call USCIS and see if there's already a receipt number on the system for your package. If there isn't one, at most a Tier 1 officer can tell you is if the package has been received.

 

When you call and are prompted by the phone system, say 'technical difficulty'. It will get you to a live person instead of you having to press a million options and get nowhere.

The cases you've "seen" are probably not recent. There are many December filers still waiting for the Receipt notice:

I thought they would have the info on the system. I guess that info is only available once package is scanned AND payment is cashed?

Bingo.  How else would it be in the system unless the package was opened and entered.

It seems that there may not be a way to check........

 

Speaking of check........the personal check I sent with the application has not been cashed yet either so that my tell me the package has not been opened yet. as well.

 

Crazy........

 

I wish they could make it a little easier and at least let you know that they have your application so you can sleep at night.

Keep an eye on the November, December, and January threads to see where folks are at. Mine took 3 months, so just sit tight, you'll get yours in time.
