I sent a package a year ago, my status "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" already 350 days without changes. No help from USCIS.

I had 4 biometrics appointments, 2 of them were canceled by USCIS, another appointment didn't work because FBI cant read fingerprints, my last appointment probably will be the same, because fingerprint were red (scanner couldn't read).

As a teacher, I had to be fingerprinted for my job and had the same problem. I play string instruments and they cause calluses, which make my prints hard to read. I had to have mine redone, just like you, and the second time the tech made a notation that this was the best they could do. I don't know if that was the reason, but they were accepted. I found this article, which may help you. https://mn.gov/boards/assets/Tips for Improving FP Quality_tcm21-397431.pdf
