Very early in the process (still compiling I-129F package) I have some concerns about visa approval that I'm hoping will be unfounded!

1. Fast courtship- we met in March and I proposed in June on my first visit to Manila

2. Almost no phone records and no regular mail- we communicated almost exclusively online

3. Multiple marriages- I've been married twice

Will this stuff weigh heavily against us?

Well, you are going to have about seven months to get phone records and regular mail. You have enough for the original petition in that you have met within the last two years and are engaged. I visited once more while our petition was in process and took LOTS of pictures.

I met MJ in October flew there in November and got engaged. Filed in January and went back in March. During this whole time though we chatted online twice a day for 2-3 hours, phone calls, letters, some emails. Over three hundred pics taken for two trips. Thank God for digital cameras with those big memory chips. Save those chat sessions!!!

Just save everything you can think of.

Good Luck,

Charlie

It doesn't look good for another trip in the next 7 months, but I am sending in a bunch of pics (including me with the whole family) along with a ring receipt.

The consular officer puts more weight on things like the frequency of your visits (hence the line of questions is focused on this) and the length of the relationship (at least 6 months and preferably longer), and photos, correspondence not just with your fiancee but with the family and v.v. will be a plus factor. My fiance then proposed after 4 days from the meeting date and it wasn't probed much by the consular officer. He actually said "He has been busy visiting you and that's what we are looking for". Failed marriages and divorces are not much of a factor, from my friends' experiences. Just as long as love is the only intention for 129F petition. I'm sure others have more insightful opinions and their own experiences to share..
