I read that the rules for COVID test before traveling to USA is 3 days. I did my Covid test on Saturday 02/20/2021 and my flight in Tuesday 02/23/2021 morning at 9:00 am. This is considered 3 days period or will this cause a problem ?

The US requirement is 3days not 72 hrs before your first departure.  Base on your timeline you flying from west Africa and i assume you may have a layover. So if your first flight leaves Tuesday  and test was done Saturday then you meet the requirement even if u arrive in the US on Wednesday or Thursday.
