Documentarily Qualified or Case Complete

On Dec 4 2020 I received an email from NVC stating my case was "Documentary Qualified" and that they would now work with the embassy in Bangkok and schedule an interview for me.

In reading these forums and looking at the timelines I have found how long the usual delay is between the case "being completed" at NVC and the interview notice.

Is there a difference between my case being complete and NVC and being notified that it is Doc Qualified and that they will schedule me an interview?

FYI my case is a spousal visa CR-1 and the status shows "AT NVC" but I've read that this will change to "Case complete" and then "in transit" and then "ready".

If DQ is not the same as being "complete at NVC" does anyone have any idea how long I should expect between the DQ notice and being NVC Complete?  It has been about 10 weeks since the DQ notice.

Thank you in advance to all

Case complete is same as DQ.

As for how long it will take to get an interview letter... this is the million dollar question. Due to COVID-19, things are very much delayed in all embassies the world. The short answer is: it will take a long time (my DQ date was May 2020 and I have not gotten an interview date). The long answer (and a more specific one) is that it all depends on which embassy you will are dealing with. Some have resumed regular interviews and others are just doing expedited cases. I suggest you specifically look at the Portals section of VJ.com to chat with people from the same embassy as you.

Good luck!

Thank you both for your replies.  You have both, in a line, been more informative than an "Ask NVC inquiry" and 2 letters to the embassy, who were either disinterested or incapable of reading, understanding and replying to my question in an intelligent manner (I actually think it may be a chat bot), and two messages to Rapid Visa (who I actually paid to help.)

The million dollar question (how long) at least has some clues that can be garnered from peer input here at VJ.   In Bangkok it looks like the process is moving along at least.  I thank you for your reply from Brazil and wish you good luck in what appears to be a more backlogged embassy.
