Embassy is open, NVC won't send case

My embassy just posted an update that they have resumed k1 visa interviews about a month ago and I’m still stuck at NVC.
I called NVC to let them know and they said they still can’t send it because they haven’t received the “update” even though it’s written on their website and they also said they have different information.
Please help guys. What can I do?
I contacted my Embassy and they are saying they do not request cases, rather NVC is supposed to send them.

Of course I understand this but there are so many peoples cases that are being transferred after me.

That's the reason I don't really understand, if they were stating that it is due to backlog it would make sense but they are not.

Their reason for delay is not the backlog but rather NVC is stating that the embassy has not resumed processing which is false.

Thanks a lot by the way!

How do you know about all of these other cases?

YMMV

NVC takes its instructions from the Embassy/Consulate and, although they have informed the public that they are now processing K-1 visas, they have apparently not informed NVC that they are ready for "new" cases (i.e., cases that are still at NVC).  In other words, although they are processing K-1 cases, they have not yet fully resumed normal processing.  They likely have enough K-1 and other cases already at Post -- those that were sent for the interviews from at least March and April -- to keep the probably-still-reduced staff busy for a while.  A month or so before those are done, they will then request NVC to send new cases, starting with those received shortly after the shut--down began.  It is unlikely that they will send all the cases being held at NVC at once -- NVC has a lot more room to safely hold files than a consular section overseas.

Not sure about the "many" cases you say are being transferred -- they could just be hearsay, they could have been expedited for some reason (for example, US citizen child involved), they could have been part of the K-1 lawsuit, they were actually IR-1s not K-1s, etc., etc., etc.  Hopefully, it will be your turn soon.

Does someone have a rough idea of how bad is the backlog at Jerusalem?

Are they conducting family based IV interviews at all?

Thanks and good luck to everyone

If you look at the numbers of K1 visas issued pre covid (December 2019 & January/February 2020) they don’t seem to process very many per month https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/nonimmigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-nonimmigrant-visa-issuances.html

The wait probably won’t be too terrible, but they do have almost a year worth of petitions to get through
