Click on the word guides above, and start studying.  You are adjusting status from a Student visa.  There will be no new visa. You will adjust to status of Conditional Lawful Permanent Resident.  After you study the guide, download the forms, and then study the form instructions, please come back for remaining questions.

You don't file for a visa if you're already in the US, unless you plan to go back to your home country for the interview.

 

You file for Adjustment of Status.

 

Use the forms 130, 130a, 485, 864, 944, 765, 131.
