Here's something else Ted Cruz could have done instead of fleeing to Mexico.

Never imagined a Representative from New York would do more for the people of Texas than one of their own senators, but here we are.

Probably. It's what politicians do. But Texas charities have $1M to take care of their citizens now, so I don't see how this is a bad thing. And because of Beto's efforts, many Texas seniors have food and shelter they wouldn't have otherwise had. If this is performative politics, let's have more of that please.

The argument that Ted Cruz literally could do nothing to help out his fellow Texans has been put soundly to bed. By a New York Democrat.

Well I AM in Texas, and I am not upset or even the least bid concerned.  I know that our Governor had already requested federal aid, and FEMA was already in action.  Once again, the libs are more concerned with their "feelings" than anything else.

We ain’t libs, we live here in Texas and spent 30 hours without power, and that trip wasn’t cool.

Yep, I would like to see an actual accounting rather than the words of a DC politician.

Donate! Or donate directly to the charities if you feel more comfortable. Charity Navigator is a solid source for checking out the bona fides of an organization, and you can check how much goes to administration and how much to actual relief.
