Now the waiting begins! Hopefully this thread will someday be useful for someone should they go through the same issue. But from what I learned; at least during this time, I am going to consider going through a courier the next time around. Especially as this pandemic goes on!

Anyone knows how long it is currently taking from i 485 packet being delivered to check cashed or NOA sent?

According to the USCIS lockbox update that they posted at the beginning of January they are saying that people may have delay 4-6 weeks. 
However when we were using the Emma chat on the USCIS site the agent stated up to 90 days. So I’m not sure 😕 

 

We are keeping a copy of our marriage certificate, USPS receipt with the date on it , and photocopy of the completed I-485 as evidence in an overabundance of caution. We are also printing out the same USCIS lockbox update webpage that I mentioned before. That way we are covered if it comes up before then.

Yeah, I saw those updates on USCIS. I was wonder if anyone knows from personal experience. I have been searching other forums too and some reported it took only 5-6 days for them to see money withdrawals from account. Although those aren't very recent reports.

I read that too! 7 business days was the usual. I'm still unsure about the times of AOS, EAD, and the other forms to have updates.

A month was the maximum limit during normal times (pre covid) so that’s actually quite promising. It hasn’t stopped me from checking my bank account like a nut to see if they cashed the check yet though 😅

oh please let us know if you have good news this friday. I haven't received any update, in march 24th will be one month since delivered.

I still have not heard anything. I’m expecting to be a while. I’m trying to check less so my stress level goes down. They will put our applications in the system eventually!
