I'm not sure how everyone assumed I wanted to get married in the PI again.  On the contrary I intended on a K-1 visa this time around.  But now you have peaked my interest...getting married in another country, such as Jordan?  How would that be any different?  She would still have to wait out the visa process for 1 1/2 years or more, whether in the Philippines or Jordan correct?  I guess my real question is: What is "faster" today...a K-1 or a spousal visa?

@Jorgedig mentioned getting married in the PH as an alternative solution, and the discussion grew from there.

If you prefer to go with the K1, it's your personal choice, but people have been recommending the spousal visa because the K1 lost its comparative advantage in speed in 2020. No one knows when normal processing times will resume.

Today, neither option is fast. You are correct that, wherever in the world you choose to get married, your fiancé will need to wait out the process.

For the specific case of the US embassy in Manila,  they have only been doing spousal visa interviews during the pandemic. There are thousands of K1 applicants who have been waiting for interviews from March 2020 to present.
