Tourist visa with pending k1

Hey all, sorry if this is repeated I couldn't find it

 

So, we have been approved for a k1 visa since April 2020, but the moscow embassy has been shut down ever since

 

We recently applied for a tourist visa through Poland.

 

My question, if my fiance has no plans to stay on this visa (we really just wanna spend 3 months together as it's been 1.5 years since we have seen each other) will she still be denied?

Does anyone have experience with this?

Nobody who applies for a tourist visa would say they intend to stay.

 

Very much depends on her circumstances, the only thing I know is that she can take 3 month vacation which is pretty unusual in the US.

Every visit entry is at the discretion of CBP and every B2 visa approval is at the discretion of the consulate officer. .  She should bring documentation showing strong ties to her country to convince CBP that she will leave after the visit......but it is still at the discretion of the officer.

It depends. There's a small chance of approval, but that depends if she can convince the CBP of your intent. Having evidence of strong ties back to originating country will help the most (i.e. lease agreements, booked tickets for some sort of event, an active job, anything that forces you to eventually go back home, etc.).

I'm not sure what the question is. Has she applied for a visa already and been approved and you're wondering if she can enter and get permission from CBP to stay for up to 3 months? Or has she not even had her tourist visa interview yet, and you are wondering what the chances of her getting the visa are?

I'm just wondering what her chances of getting her visa.  We are approved for k1 and have a tourist interview scheduled.

So, I would say the chances are low, but that said, it doesn't hurt for her to bring as much supporting evidence as possible (such as bank statements, proof of property ownership, if she current has a job, etc.) They may or may not look at it (in most cases, they don't) but it's worth a shot. Just be realistic about the outcome and don't get your hopes up too high. Let us know what the outcome is.

Have you thought about meeting in a 3rd country in the meantime in case the tourist visa doesn't work out?

Why not meet some place such as Turkey or Egypt?  The probability of her getting a tourist visa is quite low but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It will be interesting to see how this goes.  The K1 says you want to come permanently but the B2 says you only want to visit.

Why can't you get in. I'm traveling to St. Petersburg next week. Going for my covid-19 test on Monday, so it's 3 days before arrival. I have the visa and everything. Unless you are an Irish citizen there are really no restrictions.

You are a US citizen?   Which embassy did you get your visa at?  The one in Houston told me I couldn't get a visa a month ago
