Proof of domicile - format for legal binding lease for Pennsylvania?

We will be using my U.S.C. wife's parents (3) bedroom condo as our U.S. address. We plan to sign a legal rental agreement with my in-laws, with a symbolic rent of $0 or $1. Can someone please share a Pennsylvania tenancy agreement format that others may have used successfully at NVC stage and interview that we can use?

Personally, I would avoid "symbolic rent of $0 or $1".  That looks like contrived or fraudulent evidence......just my opinion.

We don't plan to move ahead of beneficiary but move together, so utility bills are out of question. Unless, we can have my in-laws add my wife to their utility bills.

Nothing fraudulent about it. People transfer house deeds etc. by selling them to family for $1. The idea is as long as it is a legal lease as per state laws, CO knows you have a place to stay. You should read some threads here where people have done this.

A deed transfers/confers ownership of property.   I'm just saying a lease for $0 might raise questions as to whether it is a real lease.  Good luck with your evidence.

Of course it is not a commercial lease. But I guess the purpose of having a legally binding lease is that CO can't brush it off as just an informal arrangement that he cant accept. There was an old thread here where CO didn't accept a letter from family about living arrangement. When their Senator's office contacted the embassy, they were told resend the same docs with some "BIG" words, we would accept it. The way I see it COs don't care if what your living arrangement is, as long as it is legally binding, they are good. Perhaps I will remove the mention of any rent. That is why I asked this question so I can get an idea from folks who have done this successfully. Thank you for your responses.

Also, just to add to my previous answer, we will provide mortgage papers alongwith the lease to "prove" it is a real state lol.

I am certainly no expert.  I'm sure you will be OK.  Good luck.

I'm not familiar with domicile in Canada, but when I had to prove domicile, I just had my mother write up a letter saying that my husband and I would be allowed to live with them until we found our own place. Why not just have the in-laws write a similar such letter that they allow you to live there? The symbolic rent thing seems completely unnecessary.

Ok I'm just going to come right out and say it. If Montreal for some reason doesn't ask for much more from you I will be amazed. You have already been through this process had your case transfer from Montreal to another country got the visa and never moved to the US. They are going to see this and with how Montreal has been in the past with Domicile I doubt what you have planned will fly.

I hope it does but you need to be prepared.

My wife will move to the U.S. a month before interview. I am just trying to see if the agreement with in-laws will satisfy NVC. Also, my wife will move to the U.S. before interview but she will live with her parents, and so will I once I have my visa. We will then look for a house together or an apartment. Do you think we will need a lease to satisfy domicile even if my wife moves to her parent's house before the interview?

I think the agreement  you have with the inlaws will be good.  Make sure she gets her US DL and sends you a copy along with any other things you can think of just in case always better to be prepared.
