After talking with somebody at USCIS, they placed an inquiry into our CR1/CR2 petitions. Today we 2 letters for wife and daughter and it says we are still in security checks. Then it says if we do not get a approval decision in 6 months to call back.

Are you F-ing kidding me? :angry:

SORRY TO HEAR THAT... MY CASE IS STILL AR FOR ALMOST 4 MOTNHS NOW.

AOS TIMELINE :

4/4/08- AOS package mailed out

4/6/08- AOS package received at Chicago

4/10/08 - Case received /pending

4/14/08 - NOA receipt received

4/19/08 - Biometric appointment letter received

5/3/08 - Biometric done ( Alexandria, Virginia )

5/6/08 - EAD touched ( no email )

5/7/08 - Case status shows up online

5/9/08 - Received email regarding AOS case transferred to

California Service Center .

5/14/08 - Received email AOS case is now pending at CSC.

5/15/08 - AOS touched

5/20/08 - Renewal of Driver License approved ( I-94 expired 5/20/08 ).

6/6/08 - AP approved

6/13/08 - EAD card production ordered

6/17/08 - Received email EAD card mailed out

6/18/08 - AOS touched

6/18/08 - EAD card received

6/19/08 - AOS touched

6/23/08 - AP touched... still waiting for the card to arrive

6/28/08 - AP card received

7/29/08 - Received email green card approved/card ordered.

8/2/08 - Green card received

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

01/17/2007 Faxed the checklist to the Immigrant Visa Unit in Frankfurt

03/29/2007 Got letter from USCIS to provide evidence that our marriage is bona fide

04/02/2007 Sent to USCIS lots of evidence

05/03/2007 I have an unofficial "PETITION APPROVED" ...waiting for confirmation from Consulate

05/07/2007 Received email from USCIS ROME confirming that our petition was approved (why Rome? because we complained to the District Office Rome about the Sub-Office Frankfurt..it took too long for our petition to be approved)...now waiting for the interview letter from the Consulate

05/18/2007 E-mail from IV Frankfurt, our interview was scheduled for May 29th

05/19/2007 Packet 4 in the mail: ja ja ja interview letter

05/29/2007 Interview at 7.30 a.m. APPROVED Thank you, God!

06/01/2007 Visa arrived !

06/03/2007 Mayday on the plane POE Cincinnati

Living in Maryland

06/21/2007 Welcome Notice from USCIS

06/29/2007 Applied for SSN at the local Office

07/07/2007 Green Card arrived

07/09/2007 Another 2 Welcome Letters from USCIS...God, they really love me! :D

07/20/2007 Social Security Card arrived

That is just sad to hear (read), another 6 months? You just need to be patient and follow-up on your case from time to time to get updates and I pray it won't take 6 months but a lot sooner!

I know exactly how you feel. I filed a little over a year ago in June 2006. Every time we do an inquery I always get some generic reply after 45 days saying that that our applications requieres futher review and that our application is still pending. Then they say to call them back in 6 months if I have not heard any thing by then. Trust me I know THE PAIN your feeling. All we can do is hang in there and pray. (F) I hope an approval comes soon.
