What the heck?

My husband went through his POE in Dublin, Ireland...strange but true. This was on June 3rd. So since the paper they gave him about social security said please come in if you haven't received your card in 3 weeks....we went in this morning. So first, she said that immigration hadn't even filed for a SSN yet. GRRRR. SO she would file right then for us. OH but wait, now she can't because my husband does not even exist in the system!!!!!!!!

So I called immigration who post on their website that if you haven't received a welcome note in a month to call. So I call and am told that now it is taking 45-60 days to process. Is this just because we went through Dublin? Isn't everyone else getting put in the system a LOT quicker??

Just want some feedback!!!

Wow, we were told to wait two weeks. I took Claudeth to the social security office two weeks later and she was in the USCIS system.

My husband went through JFK POE. 10 days later, when we went to SS for his card, he was in the system. I don't know if Dublin POE makes a difference, though. Sorry.

For me it was all very quickly as well.

My POE was Cincinnati. Today, after 4 weeks in the States, I went to the Social Security Office in my town, I explained the situation there, the lady looked into the system and she saw I am not in the system. I applied again for a SSN so I suppose to receive it in 5 days in the mail. If I end up with 2 numbers, I go to return one card to their office. I really need one asap to can apply for the driving license and get a job.
