Changing Address after Documentarily Qualified

Hi All,

I was DQ'd on September 11, 2020. All required documents have been accepted and marked "Complete" on my account in the CEAC website.

I now need to move (within the same city), and am planning to send an "ASK NVC" query providing them with my updated address and proof of residency, etc.

Question: Do I need to re-submit (don't think this is allowed on CEAC website) my documents? Or do I just need to take updated forms to my interview (whenever that is scheduled) with the new address?

Thanks!

I'm not officially sure what you're supposed to do, but your logic is sound and what I would probably end up doing if I were in your situation. After becoming DQ'd it seems the stance I've seen on here is that any changes you document and take to the interview.

Perhaps someone with more sound knowledge will be able to confirm/deny but from my perspective you're good.

Hope you get your interview soon!

Patience......patience.

Thanks @neca!

As an update, this is what I found on the NVC website:

I submitted my documents but would like to replace it. Can I do that?

No. Once you have submitted your documents on CEAC, you cannot make changes to them unless NVC asks you to delete them and upload new ones.

After NVC accepts your documents – which means you are in line for a visa interview – you may not delete anything that you submitted. If at that time you want to submit a new, replacement, or additional document, simply bring it to your visa interview for the consular officer to review.

I submitted my request to AskNVC and provide a copy of my Driver's License with updated-address, as well as my proof of residency.
