Dear all,

I hope you had a great week!

We submitted our application on February 2020, and I have received a Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation via email on September 2020.

Currently I am on DS-260 process and have not submitted my civil documents.

Does anybody know how long the application status is effective/valid?

I think I heard it says it is a year, but I cannot find out the starting date.

Is my case valid for one year from when they first received my application? Or is it valid for one year from the date when they sent me with my visa case creation?

The attached is a screen shot of my status page. It says the priority date is 15 Feb 2020.

I hope you understand what I am trying to describe, am sorry about my English.

Thank you so much for reading!

the i864 and ds260 at the nvc,

that's where your at, if you do nothing for a year or more, then immigration may deem the process as abandoned

if you pay but then you don't upload any documents or fill out forms, they could see it as the petitioner isn't interested in continuing the process

oh ok...
I have paid the fee but have not filled out the forms, nor submitted the civil docs.

But since I received the email from NVC and accessed my case tracking page in September 2020, I am assuming that I still have time.

I was just afraid that NVC might close my case because it has been almost a year since they received my application in mail.

Thanks so much :)
