Hello,

So I filled in February , still awaiting NOA1 , I have to move by the end of March 31,2021

Should this be okay? As long as I notify USCIS immediately of new address ? Also would it make a difference if I move to a different state?
The state I wish to move to has the same filing / process service center.

Most recent receive date I've seen so far is December 18th, at least for 129s.  I hope they keep this pace up, or accelerate it!!

I'm tracking numbers each day and they've about doubled in the last week. That said, I only started tracking the week before that so my data  set has a large margin of error!

Moving to a different state doesn't matter. I filed Feb 9 and expected April at the earliest but if they keep moving at this pace the end of March might be possible. I am not counting on it though. Make sure you have your mail forwarding set with USPS and submit the change of address to USCIS and you should be fine.

I know I've seen others ask this question so try the search function and I bet you will find more detailed info.

Fingers crossed you get through before you move!

Just checked again this morning.  Saw a couple from December 24th.  I think it's funny.  On the page that shows they're received your application, they give you a 30 notice to contact them if you've not heard from them by then.  All those dates are already about a month old. 😀

Hahaha. We're on the same checking schedule ;) I just posted in the Dec thread that yesterday there was a ton of Dec 21 and today I'd seen some Dec 24.

So . . . on Monday of this week they were at the end of November. By Monday/Tuesday of next week my guess is they'll be at the end of December which means they could be through January filers by March 10th, maybe sooner. IF they keep up this pace.

Maybe early Feb filers will see something by mid March.

And USCIS updated processing times to approval to 5.5 to 7.5 months. If that stays on track or speeds up a little (they're doing late July now) could we see NOA2 by July???

I'm not counting on anything but . . . fingers crossed!

Oh, that would be amazing!!  My Christmas wish this year, is to have my fiancee here stateside by the holiday.  I'm an optimist, but also a realist.

Hello Everyone,

Finally found this thread/topic area —grateful to see I’m not alone!

My petition was mailed 2/2/2021 via USPS delivered and electronic return receipt for 2/8/2021 was provided.

Decided to go with certified mail without requesting a signature, but did pay for a electronic return receipt which did not delay the delivery at all. It was worth the ~$1.90 to be able to see that it was received by a USCIS personnel. The electronic nature also did not require me to wait for anything to come back in the mail signed (I believe that’s the signature that really slows things down.)

Still have not received an NOA1, but that’s expected with all that we went through with covid, the holiday season, changes in government...etc. In the last few months. Very happy to see processing is on the up & up!

What are you all doing post-filing I-129F? I know we have a ton of time ahead of us, but I’m thinking towards the next requirement and what I should get prepared. What are the next forms to get ready? Also, why do the processing times on visa journey, suggest they are processing NOA1s from February already? (The page with all the maps based on separate graphs for each service center)

Thanks in advance! Thankful for this space 🙏🏾

Welcome!

Personally, I’m not getting anything else ready yet. I believe the next forms needed are the DS-160, I-134, and other supporting documents like beneficiary’s police clearance, but that won’t be until after the NOA2. My plan is to start collecting that info about a month before we expect the NOA2 so that it’s all sufficiently recent.

I do wish there was something more I could *do* now though!

As for the processing times on here, I’m not sure, but I think the predictions just don’t adjust quickly to major changes like the delays of the NOA1s in recent months. Looks like, according to actual case tracking data, they’ve made it to the very end of December for NOA1s so I’m hopeful we won’t have to wait too much longer!

Fingers crossed this process goes smoothly for all of us!!

Just checked again moments ago.  Most recent date I saw for a 129F was January 8th.  I saw a few January 6ths also.  Gail&Derrick's prediction may be pretty accurate.

Yep! Yesterday was "clean up from December day" with some Jan 2, 4, 6 mixed in and today has been Jan 4, 6, 8! I'm eyeing next Wednesday for February 9! ;)

Hello,

At what point do you prepare to complete

i134 (Affidavit of support)? Is it after the NOA 2 is received or once notification that the embassy received packet 3 & 4 (still don’t know what this entails)
What are your plans to prepare for this?
Is there a timeframe of how recent the i134 must be once your Beneficiary is at the interview with this supportive document ? i.e i134 must be completed by petitioner along with bank statements, W2’s 30 days or 7 days prior to interview?
Also does anyone plan to send scanned copies of the above documents (is this acceptable) or planning to deliver original copies of i134 song with supported docs (bank statements etc) prior to interview?

If I’m not mistaken, I believe the i134, other financial proof, etc will be formally requested by the embassy once it has received your file. In normal times, the time between the NOA2 and embassy receiving the file was pretty short, but that doesn’t seem to be the case at the moment. I’m hoping it will be closer to the norm by the time we get to that stage!

The general instructions don’t seem to give any guidance on how recent the evidence needs to be or if a wet signature is required, but my understanding is that the embassy is supposed to specify that when then make the formal request.

Personally, I’ll probably start gathering some of the evidence/filling out the form a little earlier than the request, but then update it with the most recent info I can get my hand on before submitting.
