Hi! My husband recently got his interview in Juarez on March 8, 2021. Has anyone been there recently? Do you have any advice for us or can explain how it is working there. I was researching to fly to El Paso and drive to Juarez from there, but I wasn’t sure how the border is working since I normally fly to Mexico City to visit him. Am I able to cross the border at this time?

Yes you can cross. Keep in mind, if he/she flies from Mexico to USA he will need a negative Covid test. And also, I heard the interviews are done in 2 days, 1 day for info and next day actually interview.

Okay yes I totally understand that he will need the negative COVID test to enter. I just went through that to come to Mexico this week!

Now, my other question is: Do we schedule the biometrics in Juarez as well?? He was registering the interview and is confused about if the biometrics can be in Juarez or in Mexico City where he lives. Please let me know!

You do the medical, and biometrics in Juarez.

Hi, you would need to take the  biometrics in Juarez. Just make sure that the envelope they give you, that your spouse doesn't open it. That is open my immigration officials. May I ask if what date did the NVC accept your documents? My husband and I are waiting for his interview to be assigned. Best of luck!

If you live in Mexico City or Estado de Mexico, you can do the medical in Mexico City.

They may actually transmit the medical electronically now, but I'm not sure.

Do you know where that is located ?
