We traveled with my husband's AP in January.  He was sent to secondary processing when we returned, but it was because I held the passports and did all the talking - the officer wanted to talk to him and be sure he was safe.  I always carry everything because he loses things, and he's shy - Valuable lesson learned for when our interview comes, though!

I actually really like this. That the officer wanted to talk to him alone to make sure that he's ok. I can imagine that it must have felt weird to you that somebody kinda suspected you to traffic your husband 😁 but it gives me a good feeling that they're really looking out for it.

LOL, I didn't know at the time that was the issue, so I was in a panic at first!  However, I do agree with you about knowing that they are looking out for people.  I now know to wake up my husband a good half hour before we land so that he's coherent, and give him the passports before we approach the queue! 🤣
