Hi everyone!

I have filled N-400 January 11, 2020. I received a Biometric Reuse Notice dated January 24.

My mother is not feeling well and I have to travel and go take care of her.

Is it safe to travel now? I don't assume I will get any other notices on my case any time soon. I am traveling, regardless of the consequences, but would love some insight.

Thank you!

Happy Valentines Day, you love bugs!

Yes, you can travel. Did you file 2020 or 2021? Even if you receive a notice for interview whilst you are away, you can have it rescheduled.

You will obviously need to declare this trip when you go to your interview as it would not have been included in your original N-400.

Even the fastest office probably won’t be interviewing January filers until April. If you filed in Seattle...well you will be waiting a long time. I filed September 2019 and am still waiting. I have travelled overseas several times since then.

I think it is safe to say that you should travel and visit your mom. The worst case scenario is for your  case to be reschedule and they might not get to you in the next five months......Go visit and take care of mom....Happy val
