we usually smuggle in candy but this one theater we have gone to a couple of times searches through all the purses and bags before you go into the theater :blink:

the first time we went there we had my purse stuffed with candy, luckily while my hubby was buying the tickets I saw them going through the bags so we went back to the car and emptied my purse...

That's something I've never heard of. It isn't an airplane, for Christ's sake. Is there a law forbidden people from having candies in their purse? The only times I let people search my purse were before concerts (the usual drugs, alcohol check).

they don't do a through search..... they just kind of look into your purse... I think they want to make sure people buy from the concession and I really don't mind because the tickets are dirt cheap there compared to other theaters...

i have a friend that when he goes to outdoor concerts, they search his back pack..he puts/...rubber snakes..open condoms..full of elmer's glue etc..they never dig down in it to find his stash of booze

I've read that it's not a good idea to sit down in front of the TV or reading a magazine while eating either (for dieting), because there's a tendency to eat even when our stomach is satisfied.

I have been to movie theatres that have everything- the ususal popcorn and candy stand, pizza hut, ice cream and frozen yogurt places, New York fries, etc.

The first theater I ever went to that served fries, chicken tenders, and other foods was in Mexico. They had a VIP theater with personal big, leather, Lazy-Boy type recliners. The a/c was cranked up all the way, and it was like heaven. I never saw anything like it in the states. How weird is that? But, where I am from in the South, our movie theaters were pretty traditional- popcorn, sodas, nachos & candy.

When I go to the movies, I usually get Sour Patch Kids or Peanut Butter M&Ms, medium popcorn, and smuggle in a bottle of water.

I don't think you should deny yourself of everything :P you need to treat yourself once in awhile :P

I know, but I find that I like to treat myself way too much and it shows. :P

Famous Stars are the 99 cent burgers from Carls Jr... I think they are only in southern California though... That is our favourite fast food place.. ten times better then any other besides "In and Out" but I am not crazy about the "In and Out" fires
