Is there anyone here who was able to get a K1 visa consular appointment for the month of March, 2021 at the Mumbai Consulate, India? I was randomly checking my ustravel docs yesterday and just dumbluck (hopefully) was able to schedule my consular appointment for 12th of March, 2021 but am not sure if it was some sort of glitch. It still shows on my UStraveldocs account though. Asking because I would have to go through the police clearances and medical exams again.

Hi all, my partner is waiting on his interview letter but after reading more online I’m wondering if we’re supposed to book an interview ourselves somewhere? Our last letter was from NVC in the beginning of March (this month), when they were sending the case to the embassy. I’ve now seen online the case is “ready” at the embassy for the interview.

I’d be happy to hear about your experiences booking the interview (or receiving the date?) and processing times.

If the case is ready there are two things you can do:-

1) Call UStraveldocs India and tell them you have not received the Packet 4 (the invite to book interview) and ask them to send it over email

2) Email them and say the same

What happens after the Consulate receives the file from NVC is that they send you a hard copy of the packet 4 and it often takes weeks for the beneficiary to receive it. I know of a case where the beneficiary never even received the hard copy. As soon as I had seen my case status as ready, I emailed ustraveldocs and they send me the packet 4 via email.

Update: I tried out ustraveldocs and this notification came up in the process. Did you get it to?

Yes this notification pops up. There have been cases where interviews have been scheduled without receiving the letter or email from the Consulate but they had to constantly email/call to fight to be allowed to interview peacefully. I personally feel that emailing them will get you the packet 4 via email within 2-3 days and then you can proceed with booking an interview with peace of mind.

Hi,

I'm a K-1 Visa applicant from Mumbai. Our status has changed to ready on the ceac portal but I haven't received packet 4. I emailed support-india@ustraveldocs.com but I'm got an automated response. @NBVH you said you received packet 4 after emailing them. Which email id did you write to? Your help will be truly appreciated.
